He gets paid millions because he knows how to market his fights. The risking his life part comes along with his job, which is officially the most dangerous sport in the world. If you can't see that being a professional Boxer and making it far to his level while handling all the pressure takes serious risk, guts and ability then you're a fool.

Mayweather has very little to no class and has the mental capacity of a 16 year old

Look, I have no problem with him or any athlete being paid what they get paid, but don't pretend it's because he risks his life. That line is used to death (no pun).... Does he risk his life? Sure, but so do millions of other people daily..More construction workers die every year compared to boxers.. FACT!!

You talk as though he ever stopped. This is why I always say Floyd makes tools of some of you guys. Because you lose your **** over any little thing he does. And go running to anyone who will listen to you complain. He's been doing this of years now and you guys still fall for it hook, line, & sinker.

Like Mayweather, those people willingly picked that type of career path knowing that entertaining the public and serious publicity won't come along with it. Mayweather gets paid a lot because he knows how to market and sell his fights, unlike many other Boxers that also risk their lives going in that ring. The publicity and marketing strategy involved in Mayweather's career doesn't erase the fact that dying in that ring or leaving with serious injuries are rather huge possibilities.

He does this for the camera. He know people will feel some kind of way about it. Floyd fans can give two shits about it. There fans of his boxing not his life style. His haters care more about it then anyone, because they're haters of his lifestyle. They will still pay to watch him fight just to see him loose, and that's exactly what he wants.

But that record is manufactured, at least in part.

    * The JMW "world title" was gifted by pitting Pac against someone who had spent the vast majority of his career. The LW title was gained in a stopover appearance against someone who was considered by most to be the weakest titleholder of those who reigned at the weight.

    Plus...

    * Pac never won a world title from a sanctioning body at featherweight ( even though he was considered the lineal and ring champion after defeated Barerra.

Personally, I think his four lineal championships (Flyweight, Featherweight, Jr. Lightweight and JWW) are a much more impressive achievement. The again, Floyd has four lineal championships as well.

I think there's reason to question both of their legacies- but I'm getting a little fed up with people on this and other sites doing so( with each fighter) ad nauseum; and that's why I wrote the initial post in the first place.

Of course there is - neither Boxer is beyond fair reproach. But, if you're tired of the circular debates on Pacquiao's and Mayweather's respective legacies, why weigh-in so heavily on the side of Mayweather?

Didn't Pac and Margo demolished Cotto before Floyd ( one of Floyd's best wins )?
