"That's when little Cassius Clay from Louisville, Kentucky, came up to stop Sonny Liston. The man who annihilated Floyd Patterson twice. HE WAS GONNA KILL ME! But he hit harder than George. His reach is longer than George's. He's a better boxer than George."
the speed in which you stop people has nothing to do with punching power. foreman stopped peralta in 10 and ud'd him. pastrano stopped him in 5 so according to your logic pastrano hit harder than foreman? interesting. wepner knows what he is talking about. foreman and liston stopped johnson in the same round but liston dropped him. something foreman couldn't do. and iron johnson did say liston hit harder.

No, he didn't. He called GF the "strongest". He never said GF hit harder. If you can prove otherwise, then kindly show your source. Otherwise, you're just trolling (your usual mode).

Like you're doing? It's best to get your facts straight before you come here and start trolling.

The facts tell the story. They stopped the Foreman-Wepner contest prematurely on a small cut, whereas they let Liston open up his face before they stopped it.

    See my previous post

Wrong again. Read Hauser's book. He said (and I quote) "Sonny could punch a hole through Fort Knox if he wanted to". He also said "He was everything they said he was, a mass of muscles, power, force"

    Pretty clear cut.

Angelo Dundee and Jeremiah Shabazz say otherwise. "And this stuff about hating; Ali didn't hate white people. He got along with white people."

    "Ali loved anything that walked"

He also said that Liston was a harder puncher than Foreman. So since Wepner's word means enough to you to post his quote here, I guess you can concede that he's telling the truth regarding Sonny being a harder puncher than GF, right?

Don't bother feeding the troll. Go to his page and look at all his posts since day one. Every single one a troll post. Probably someone hired by the ESB administrators to "stir things up" in here and get people posting. So obvious.

    Ignore him.

exactly his argument that foreman hit harder than liston carries no weight. when he has a different opinion than someone he starts insulting them.

Exactly. That is the hallmark (and definition) of an internet troll. They ignore facts and damaging evidence that pops holes in their arguments, as my back and forth with him clearly illustrates. Examples:

    Wrong

    Wrong again

Wrong (he's obviously not watched or read many Ali interviews)

    Wrong

    A lie (see above)

Indeed. The same applies for a poster.

Your one of the worst posters I've seen here in the decade I've been on, no knowledge of the game or understanding of the fighters.
