Mayweather doesn't want to fight pacquiao because pacquiao is desperate for money and does poor ppv numbers.

Translation: "I don't want to fight pacquiao"

Pacquiao is number 2 in terms of ppv numbers behind Mayweather.
Pacquiao-Bradley 2 did 750-800K ppvs, not bad for a fighter who was KO'd 2 fights before that.

So what Mayweather is saying is that Maidana, Ortiz and Guerrero are all ppv stars?

This is prize fighting, of Course every fighter is in it for the money.
Mayweather keep ducking pacquiao, all these came from his own mouth, he is his own boss. TMT

He also ducked hearns for the rematch till he thought hearns was finished.history forgets things like that but no denying rays greatness, floyd wouldn't dream of getting in the ring with hearns or a hagler

You can't compare the old to the new ,how do we know in these days of ages that Duran would have done well. We don't know. You can study a fighter more in depth now than you could have in the past. :nono

Just trying to figure out how people came to the conclusion that it is Floyd, and Floyd a lone, that needs the Pac fight for his legacy.

Pre Marquez, and Bradley loss I would maybe agree or call it 50/50 ,but after 1 clear lose, and a questionable loss to 2 fighters, who are counter punchers one with decent foot work and other with exception counter punching ability, I can't see how Pac gets the nod.

In my opinion they both could use the win on their resume, but if I was going to say one needed it more it would def be the guy who was KO cold by a counter puncher.

I can't recall none of the ATG junior welts, and welts being putting to sleep, in their prime, by a guy much older moving up in weight.

I'm willing to change my opinion if Pac gets a good win over Garcia, or another slick fighter like Devon, but until that happens Pac needs it more to right some wrongs about the perception of him vs slick boxers once and for all.

    8 weight champion=legacy proven
Floyd saying he won't fight PAC because he has financial troubles, won't fight under his promotion etc etc = legacy diminished

    End thread

    Also add to the list,

    Mayweather jr:

"Pacquiao has to sign with TMT, if he doesn't give me fights with TMT, there will be no fight".

.... All these coming from Mayweather his own mouth, he is his own boss TMT, unlike the "cut healing, afraid of needles & stadiums etc", all came from bob arums mouth.

If we were to compare excuses and demands coming from Mayweather's and pacquiaos mouth, Mayweather wins that by far.

Just check out the 1 hour excuses and demands video on youtube all coming from Mayweather's own mouth.

I like Leonard, but he doesn't help making a point about Mayweather avoiding Pacquiao. He pulled a fast one on Duran, waited for Hagler and Hearns to get old. Basically set the template for Mayweather's wanton avoidance of fighting the absolute dangerous opponents
