Cloud has been off for a year, and took a pretty bad beating from Adonis, And I think Kovalev and Beterbiev is 50/50. But still I think Sergey maybe should avoid him for awhile.

This isn't just hype talking, but I seriously think Beterbiev knocks Kovalev out in the first

Kovalev always takes the 1st round off to measure his opponents, and as we saw Artur comes in to destroy from the first second on. I wouldn't be surprised if Beterbiev catches him early and finishes him off

Yeah, this really isn't just a knee-jerk reaction.

I'd be rooting hard for Kovalev.

Just, stylistically, this guy is all wrong for him.

UNLESS something lands quick & early for Kovalev to get Beterbiev's respect and give him pause, I really don't see it going well for Krusher.

...and yeah, starting fast isn't usually his thing.

Neither is having anyone drop that kind of ton-of-bricks firepower on him so abruptly like that.

I think Kovalev has underrated boxing skills, but it wouldn't exactly be like he could pull off a Mayweather type adjustment on the fly and start evading Beterbiev when he saw that assault coming. He could very well be as 'frozen in time' as Cloud was.

    It was a KO.

Cloud didn't beat the count after the 4th knockdown.

The first knockdown is the perfect example of what you do when you're being held behind your head - fight your way out of it. Beterbiev looked sensational, still I'd like him to be a little more patient, sometimes he's too wild and vulnerable while coming in. He took Cloud's few shots well though so nothing to complain really

It wouldn't surprise me at at all.

I've only seen Beterbiev hurt a bit once and that was in his first fight up at a HW, IIRC. Cloud landed a few big ones there and they just bounced of Beterbiev's boulder-sized noggin. I think Beterbiev has a granite jaw to accompany that freakish power.

I feel bad for Cloud now though. I was actually very high on him four or five years ago. Don King is an absolutely **** for keeping him so inactive at certain stages of his career.

I'd like to see him fight Fonfara just to show Stevenson how it's done.
I'll watch his next fight regardless of opponent though

What was Beterbiev's weight tonight? LHW division is his to take but I assume he will be a cruiser at some point? :think
