That Margo against any Floyd, the size, the strength, the relentless aggression, it's a very bad match up, Castillo beat Floyd then and Margo was better than him too.
Force of plaster of paris who made a career loading up, calling out, struggling and losing to smaller opponents yet he's hailed a hero by the cabbies.
You mean the mentally destroyed shell that stumbled out against Mosely when he knew his career was finished thanks to the plaster allegation? People should stop citing that fight as his head was beyond fked and that was a shell of a man that went out into that ring.
Why didn't Margarito answer Kellerman's question; if Margarito claims he didn't feel the pad in the Mosley fight, is it likely that he had the pad (and didn't feel it) in the Cotto fight...??? And what's to make of the rip in the wrap...??? [yt]mMV0vGFCFKQ[/yt]
We'll lets see. He lost almost every single important fight in his career. And was lucky to win some fights. - Williams took his title. - Clottey was spanking his has until he injured his hands and sleepwalked the rest of the fight. - Cotto was beating him easy until he gassed out and margarito's concrete took over from there. And he still lost the rematch. - Mosley murdered him. - Pacquiao buried him. Pretty pathetic track record for someone who was suppose to be a beast. He was nothing more than a gatekeeper. Never was a legitimate threat to any of the top rated boxers.
didn't this so called monster get taken to school by Cotto in their first fight? Until the cement started kicking in. slow, face first, no defense. Lost to all the best fighters he fought. Ricky Hatton was faster than him. Floyd has a field day with this guy, complete shut out on the cards
However if it would've been Mayweather that beat him rather than Pacquiao you would go on about how great he was:
Thank God there is someone else out there who hasn't lost their mind or isn't all the same person with a bunch of alts. Margarito is the most overrated fighter of the last 10 years. Maybe even longer. Why he is still mentioned on any level other than Resto, I will never know.
Why is it that only people who hate Margarito are the chronic Floyd "fans"? :huh (other than those that cant stand a cheat)
Even if you have selectively chosen to see what you wish, the question you should then ask yourself is why are "the chronic Floyd fans" the only ones who seem to vocally despise cheaters? Nobody likes Margarito other than a couple of his fanboys who go so far as to say that they know somehow that he was innocent (despite admissions of indeed doing what they were accused of by his then trainer). And like that, on the spot, they lose credibility and might as well not even exist on the issue since they can't admit that.
Its funny that you were first to reply. As I have noticed over the past 3 days that you have started flooding the anti/pro Mayweather threads. No, what I have seen is, there are 2 very different types of fans which despise of Margarito. It seems a large amount of people that despise of him because of the cheating, once had or still do have a reasonable amount of respect for him as boxer and what he did in the ring (other than cheating). But then there are the other "fans" which just so happen to be cut from the worst cloth on this forum. They absolutely HATE the guy. Like yourself. You take one look at your post history and BAM, Floyd, Floyd, Floyd. My question to you, is why do you hate Margarito so much? is it just because of the cheating? If so, you can only hate so much. Your idol used steroids for many years, he himself admitted it and it is widely documented. He used Lidocaine for a number of title fights? That numbs the hands and helps him fight in a way that he wouldn't otherwise? Is that not a PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUG? is that not cheating? (well, outside of Vegas it is). Or, do you have another reason to hate him? As it seems the agendas are very strong. I believe Margarito is a piece of sh1t and I am glad he is out of the sport. As I believe any cheat should be. However, i can appreciate what he achieved and what excitement he provided while he was considered "clean".
