That's why Magarito is being severly underrated by him and called the most overrated fighter of the last 10 years (probably because Pacquiao beat him), while he argues the toss for Victor Ortiz, who I guess wasn't overrated at all

 

Well, almost everyone did have Mosley #1. Very few actually rated (edit Pacquiao #1 AT WW on premise of his beating the #3 alone, Cotto. That's all I can say.

As for the "Maidana was a top 5 WW going into the first Mayweather fight," well, he was. So that's all I can say about that.

I think Ortiz is Floyds' least significant win since Sharmba Mitchell. I've said that ever since the fight happened... However, I certainly don't pretend that he was not the CLEAR CUT, CONSENSUS #3 WW going into the fight, either. If you want to pretend that it wasn't the case based on what would happen later on, then go for it.

Dont get me wrong, im in the same boat as you. As soon as i found out he was a cheat, he was considered dead to the sport in my eyes.

However, I have respect for his career prior to the cheating.

 

Are wins over Cotto and Cintron twice worthy of talking about the guy as if he was some sort of era defining fighter? Because some people still mention him as if he was. To talk about his career in a positive light is to do injustice to all the far better fighters who were active at the same time as him who do not receive equal positive treatment despite being more relevant boxers to history.

Fighters can choose to not work on their cuts between rounds. It doesn't mean that the guy they are fighting who is working on his cuts between rounds is cheating.

If Floyd uses Xylocaine and his opponent chooses not to, then that is what it is. Both Floyd and his opponents have the legal, approved option to use it in Nevada. If someone uses or doesn't use it, that is their choice. That is an even playing field.
