No. The reason why it doesnt come up, is because the majority of ATG questioned on the matter have swayed with the fact that Mayweather has avoided this fight. Say what you like. Deep down inside, you know that is the truth. Tell yourself whatever you like to make yourself sleep at night, but you damn well know that the majority believe that FLOYD was/is scared of Manny Pacquiao.

Now, go and find me a compilation video of fans/fighters doubting Manny. Then, go and find me a video of Manny complaining about Floyd destroying his opposition and pointing his success to PED use.

And for anyone trying to compare Leonard's stalling to Floyd and using Hagler as the example well when Floyd decides to move up and face a middleweight monster like Hagler I will compare the two until then please don't insult real warriors like SRL !

One could argue that a "boxing rivalry" doesn't exist until two fighters actually lace up against one another. Usually, more than once, too.

But yes, I get your point. And it is annoying but I quickly became realistic to the situation and stopped obsessing over it endlessly... I actually judge fighters by what they do in the ring and not out of it, so I've been busy soaking up when the two actually do fight as opposed to trying to tell people to boycott their fights or to tweet mean things at them or to make threads in forums to get people to see my POV or to create memes to discredit one of them, etc etc. I don't care about that ****. Fight or don't, I won't obsess over two men going about their profession even if I had hoped that they would cross at some point.

If the internet was around in different eras of the past, our view of those fighters would be completely different. Get used to fan bases whining at each other as it isn't going away.

 

So everything anyone does, it's about the Floyd vs Manny fight? Everyone in boxing doesn't revolve around them fighting.. They don't plan things in advance to try to trick Floyd into fighting him.. They don't have a special team that come up with plans.. Sure Showtime want the fight to make millions, but if it doesn't happen it just doesn't happen.. I'm sure they didn't put in fine print, if we don't make enough money, Floyd has to fight Pac.. Plus, who out here with us knows what's going on in there? It's still a business with confidential things that most employees don't even know about...

The boxing world wants to see this fight and that's all they can do its want.. They can't force either man to do anything.. We can make a thousand threads a day, make petitions, get the president involved, we can get the United Nations to speak on it, it wouldn't force anyone to do anything.. It may heavily persuade, but not force...

Idk, Marquez and Pacman created a helluva rivalry, which resulted in 4 classic fights, and aside that also Mexican-Filipino rivalry among other boxers, great rivalry was born. To me at least this is still the best and proven rivalry, Mayweather-Pacman rivalry is a joke. Fight first, lets see how they fare against each other in the ring, and if it warrants a rematch and the fans want it and most of all THE FIGHTERS want it, then we have a rivalry. But neither of these 2 want it, instead its a na-na-boo-boo affair. It looks bad on both of them.

 

There are three things telling this is something to be concerned about. The commish held a hearing about it, Floyd felt the need to lie to the commish during this hearing, and Floyd even throws Showtime under the bus rather than come clean about it.

I agree. He is making showtime look like they are putting forth a completely phony product. It is not a big leap from fake marijuana and fake doghouse to paid off ref and paid off opponent, hell, we already know donna got paid to where the soft gloves.....twice. I think M Donna came to win but its bull**** the gloves and its bull**** that the showtime think was fake or if not fake, then floyd should pay the consequences.

1)Showtime, because his statements damages their reputation. And they can use this information to manipulate Floyd or drop the hammer and show the footage
2)The viewing public, because we are being fed bull**** either by Floyd's statements to the commission or by the product on all access
3)The commission, because they forced Floyd to answer about it
4)Floyd, he showed up and answered and likely gave a **** enough to lie
5)ESB, seeing this thread remains at the top

So that is a small list of who gives a ****
