Sergey Kovalev is a 6'0 32 year old Light Heavyweight with a 28-0-1 25 KO's record. Born in Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia Soviet Socialist Republic currently fighting out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and training in Big Bear, California. I'll make no bones about it, I love Sergey Kovalev, he's currently my favorite active boxer, I love that he knocks his opponents out brutally, I love that he seemingly hates people for no apparent reason, I love that he seems like a bit of a psycho when people do the slightest thing to irritate him, I love that he's also seems to be a very caring sweet family man, that is the dichotomy of The Krusher. He loves his family and crushes all that stands before him to put food in their mouths and just because he f***ing likes to, just like the Barbarians of Old. He had a decent Amateur career with a record of 195-18, and won multiple Gold and Silver Medals in Mother Russia. He started Boxing at 11 became an Amateur at 15 and even as a serviceman in the Russian Military he still competed in and won Gold in the World Military Games. Much has been made of his KO loss to Abbos Atoev, but the fact that Atoev was a very hard puncher and the Light Heavyweight Gold Medalist in 2007 seems to be conveniently overlooked. As ar as his chin goes well he went head to head in close matches with Beterbiev twice and took his shots and didn't go down once so his chin is better than advertised.

What he's accomplished thus far is incredibly impressive, in spite of many of his opponents not being well known to casual fans that doesn't lessen their quality. He was the first man to stop the usually incredibly sturdy Gabriel Campillo and managed to do it quicker than Beterbiev did two years later, his win over Cleverly was incredibly impressive, undefeated at the time he was being talked about as a potential opponent for Hopkins, he already had wins over Bellew, Krasniqi, Karpency and Mohammedi and Sergey obliterated him with ease in four rounds. Sillakh was a decent fighter with only one loss to the decent Grachev and Kovalev nearly beheaded him in 2. Agnew undefeated and better than advertised, he broke his ribs and his nose and stopped him in 7. Boone he was dropped by, but unlike Adonis not KO'd by and in the rematch Kovalev destroyed him in 2 rounds with ease it took Adonis 6 in their rematch and that was after Sergey had already softened him up for him. Caparello undefeated he smoked him in 2 rounds with lazy taps to the midsection. Then after Bernard Hopkins coming off of schooling 3 much younger fighters, Cloud, Murat and Shumenov all of whom were solid contenders, so he obviously wasn't showing his age, so much so many gave him a chance at schooling yet another "slow plodder" in The Krusher, well that didn't happen, what happened was Kovalev put on a boxing masterclass, dropping, outboxing, mauling and nearly stopping the living legend in the 12th just to prove tous and Hopkins he could beat him at his own game. Why? Because if he easily stopped the Old Man everyone would say of course Hopkins was past his prime and was easy pickings for Sergey no big deal, but when everyone expected him to zig he zagged and took the master to school just for bragging rights to say that he did. Pascal gave him a good match but that was to be expected Pascal has 2 losses one an incredibly close match against Carl Froch and the other an incredibly close match with Hopkins, a future Hall of Famer and an All Time Great. Pascal is genuinely one of the better fighters in the sport who is willing to take on all comers and he was beaten from pillar to post dropped for the first time, stopped for the first time with a burst eardrum and blurry vision in one eye, something that even Carl Froch couldn't do to him after 12 rounds of throwing bombs at each other, The Krusher krushed the very game Pascal brutally.

Everybody has seen most of the fights from NBC and HBO, but haven't seen his obscure stuff, so I figured this could be fun for some to check out along with the well known fights as well. If your Kovalev junkies especially. Some of these KO's are quite horrific please sit back and put on your seatbelts and watch what Sergey does best. The Krushin' Russian KO Machine Of Chelyabinsk Is A Very Very Bad Man Enjoy.:toney:toney:toney:toney:toney

Thanks for consoladating all those fights. That Grover Young fight was complete garbage ruling by a scumbag ref , sanctioned in a state with some strange rule.

That should have been another stoppage win for Kovalev. Instead his record has that permanent blight on it showing up as a draw.

Kovalev will lose one day anyway, he's not a ducker or cherrypicker, so it doesn't really matter. The good thing is there is video out there of that fight.
