Your participation and mock outrage in this thread says otherwise.

    Im not disputing that.

I keep hearing how Khan has the skillset to trouble Mayweather, so im asking Khan fans to elaborate further.

'Khan is fast' does not convince me.

yes, it was that easy. all pac had to do was sign on the dotted line, submit to the same blood tests as floyd and make the fight happen. he didn't because he's a cheater... and nothing will lure a cheater who doesn't want to be exposed into signing that contract.

Leave it to this dumbass to try to turn another interesting thread into a troll fest. To be this committed you must be getting paid. No way you spend this much time and effort on something so pointless and doing it for free.

You know what makes me think he's on PEDs. The same thing that makes me think Floyd is on PEDs. They are world class athletes. Just about all high level athletes are using something these days.

stop all the excuses for pac. he didn't want the fight if he had to take the PED test. or he would have signed the contract.

I think some of it is your public persona and how likeable you are.

When Bonds had his absolutely insane 4 year run from 2001-04, at ages 37-40, there was some talk about how he was most likely using.

Bonds was a d*** so he caught more flack and suspicion than Mark McGwire & Sammy Sosa did 3 years earlier. There was some talk about it then, with McGwire admitting to using creatine, which led to some talk that he was taking more than just that supplemental, but it seemed that the media wanted to ignore it and enjoy watching the HR race.

MLB didn't care, they were enjoying the popularity surge after the strike 4 years earlier. Then years later, they are suddenly worried about the "integrity" of the sport.

Armstrong is a d*** too just like Bonds, possibly even more of one, but he also almost died from cancer and Nike did a good promotional job with the bands. But then not only was he outed as a user, but someone who would bully and mess with the livelyhoods or those who were willing to speak out on his PED use.

his refusal to take testing was the major reason. bob arum was to blame for all the backlash.
what made it more believable was his true decline in speed strength and especially stamina immediately following the failed negotiations from 09

Pacquiao & Mayweather fanboys care more about proving one guy's superiority over the others than the actual fighters themselves.

It's too bad the fighters never shared the same passion as a lot of their obsessed fanbase. They would have actually fought.

 at Mosley never being known for speed and having "decent" speed in his prime. He was extremely fast back in his prime in the late 90s and early 00s.

All this talk about Khan being some tough matchup for Mayweather is crap. Not only that, but his biased fans will try to use it to defend him when he takes Khan to school.

"Oh but everyone said Khan was a tough style matchup, my idol gets no credit, blah blah blah"

I think today, if khan fought a disciplined fight and stayed within virgils gameplan khan not only troubles Floyd but beats him be dec.

khan is longer, way faster right now and he is bigger. terrible fight for a old floyd

Pryor turned down the Duran fight because he had managerial issues. His manager was a crook and did time for embezzlement. When the Duran offer came, it was for $750k, and he would have to have moved up 10 lbs to fight at a 150 lb. catchweight. Pryor turned it down to take care of his managerial issues. By the time it got sorted out, Duran had moved on to take another fight.

He turned down a fight with Leonard because he wanted more than half a million. He talks about it after his fight with Lennox Blackmoore, which was June 1981.

On one side, you can can defend him and blame Leonard for lowballing him, as Pryor ended up making over a million when he fought Arguello.

But on the other side, Pryor had only made about $50,000 when he beat Antonio Cervantes for the title in August 1980 (same day as Hearns-Cuevas). Boxing was bigger on network TV back then, and Pryor fighting and defending his title on CBS surely helped his market value in order to get that payday.

Ayub Kalule, a southpaw at 154, was possibly a more difficult fight than Pryor due to his style. He didn't get anywhere near half a million when he fought Leonard, and he was a champ for longer than Pryor.

Leonard fought the #1 guy at 154 as a tune-up for Hearns. Just 3 months before the Hearns fight.

Pretty much this, ESPECIALLY in light of discussion that he was 'declining' (see Lampley pre-Diaz fight commentary) AND with the 2 division jump.

It's not that complicated. In the era of PEDs, a jump in performance like that (whether real orr dirty) WILL raise eyebrows.
