Lep you seem to be getting your cities and counties mixed up,if you look at Yorks and Lancs you cover the main northern conurbations and a lot of boxers do originate from there.

its the truth, Arsene Wenger has used this as an excuse for the lack of english young players he brings through since he can't recruit ftom the north, where as he said all the best english talent comes from

There are lots of reasons. For starters you can't take a kid from Manchester as a 12 year old and bring him to London, it's not allowed.

just remembered Anthony Joshua is from Watford, hertfordshire!

Billy Joe Saunders - hatfield, hertfordshire
    Martin J Ward - Es***

Seems like London shows need top talent from out of London areas cause most londoners are crap at boxing

    George Groves
    Kevin Mitchell
    John Ryder
    Bradley Skeete
    Ashley Theophane

That's probably the top 5 london boxers right now. Poor considering a population of 8 million with many boxers and many boxing clubs.

For every one Groves theres about 500 Olubamiwos,Ochiengs, Bakers, Camachos, Morgans, Skeetes
London boxers really let the UK down.

haha Audley Harrison is pretty much the textbook London boxer. All talk and no substance.
