True. And the economic angle - no massive & generous welfare/entitlement society and mind set in EE. "Poor" Americans live like most middle class East Euros. To put it another way, most US citizens have lost the "eye of the tiger".
US was always one if not the richest countries i dont understand why they would suddenly lose there eye of the tiger
By the late 19th/early 20th century, yes. However even by the mid 20th century welfare was very limited... and the US still had large manufacturing base. IOW most US citizens were used to a harder life. Now most jobs are retail, fast food jockey, and all around paper pushing. You need some of this but that's just about the entire US job structure now. More to the point the labor participation rate among working age Americans is near an all time low. Even sedentary "office" jobs are too demanding for many US citizens :blood FFS lawn care is considered "brutal" work in the US :-( mostly done by recently arrived Hispanics. Want another one? US males have been overly feminized. None of this makes for a rich pool of fighters :deal
Here you go a Wiki page of Eastern Europe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Europe Its a region dominated by people of similar Slavic origin that just happen to be badasses as far as boxing goes. Kind of like Latin Americans that get lumped together, who are actually far more diverse the EE. I'm American I have nothing against US fighters, but... I don't see many future stars popping up here lately, but when I see one that impresses me, I'll do a thread on them:good
LOL at yourself. Who said EE is a country :huh The US used to be many nations (states) until they were forced together via a bloody war. Eastern Europe and the Soviet block were nearly the same entity/nation for decades. The EE people are more alike with a shared historical origin than "Americans" or Hispanics as CST80 noted. I'm American too, and I've made many posts explaining the decline of US boxing. It's not hard to figure out if you look at reality and take off the biased nostalgic filters, sentimental nationalism, etc.
Basically the floodgates are about to crash wide open and a certain segment of American society who has been entitled over the past few decades is getting marginalized by better fighters. Uiute simple really but you are not allowed to say it or at the very least you must word it delicately or suffer the inevitable slings and arrows casted from our thought police.
nononononononono PC Though Police. They're everywhere, Freedom of Speech has been cast into the dustbin of history. This is a lighthearted silly thread and I would think it was more than obvious, that I'm promoting fighters I like in a overtly nostalgic Soviet Propagandistic way, yet still some people find reasons to be offended. People really need to get over themselves and lighten up. There is nothing wrong with pointing out that there is a slew of incredibly skilled talented monsters that making or going to make an impact real soon.
I have respect for these guys they're tough sobs and some already legends in the making like the Klits, Ggg, and Loma. They great for boxing, Imo, wake everybodies asses up, including boxing powerhouses like USA and Mexico, they like the new kids on the block, or more like eastern bloc.
Tyson Fury can beat any fighter at any weight class. End of story Emmanuel Steward the all time greatest Heavyweight boxing expert compared Tyson Fury to Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschko. Steward ranked Fury at that level.
Actually the only males in the U.S. that have been overly feminized are the whites. It is perfectly acceptable for males to act like males in other ethnic groups. The other points you made are spot on...
RED trunks + Krusher = KRUSSIA If you drooped Kovs shorts there would be a hammer and sickle of his draws.
