Floyd is way overpaid and it is telling on Showtime. They made a very bad deal guaranteeing a guy who will not fight his greatest opponent, disgusting fight shares. They doubled down when they got in bed with Haymon.

 

FMJ hasn't fought any fast fighers since Judah, that's mostly because there hasn't been an option either commercially (big PPV) or someone with a belt or decent rankings. I do remember from his early days though at lightweight etc people were saying he fought speedsters and not pressure fighters / brawlers.

The only real options for FMJ at the moment appear to be Khan,(for me the best fight) PAC (probably not going to happen imo) Thurman (no title fights, calls out anyone and everyone, but hasn't fought a top 10 WW) or kell brook (no commercial value though brings a belt)

If khan gets it, I hope its because he fights someone decent, rumoured to be Guerrero, and if and when FMJ beats him, his detractors will have very little to criticize him regarding his opponents being slow footed.

All fighters have some whole in "styles faced" in their resume. Mayweather has fought a couple guys with fast hands and a couple guys with fast feet but Judah is the overall best example here, because he may be the only guy who shows up on both. "Fast feet" is sort of overrated to a small extent here, though, as a lot of the guys he has faced have had good footwork for how they fight, they just don't utilize or "fast agile foot speed."

Mayweather has fought a diverse range of styles in his career but I will say that fast footed and handed capable movers are missing from his resume.

I do love how opening post refers to all his opponents before Castillo as bums. Genaro and Corrales are fringe HOF'ers while Manfredy, Chavez, and C. Hernandez were routinely top 10 ranked fighters for at least a couple years.
