KO-ing Mchunu inside 3 rounds is impressive because he's a mover with fast hands and a decent chin.

true only found that one out today

in saying that Beterbeiv is the most powerful p4p puncher to ever crossover from the amatuers, his power could be like nothing we have ever seen before

could be in the discussion for biggest punchers ever when his career is finished

    he hits harder than Kovalev

Some of those wins look a lot more impressive (for those who don't follow amateur boxing) when you list the achievements of the guys he beat. A lot of them and the less celebrated names would have been national champions or multiple national champions, champions of their continent, winners of numerous international tournaments too. For instance Gvozdyk was also 3 x Ukrainian national champion.

Egor Mekhontsev (Olympic and world amateur champion, 2 x European champion)

Oleksandr Usyk (Olympic and world amateur champion + WAC bronze, European gold + bronze)

Evgeny Makarenko (2 time world amateur champion, 2 x European gold + 1 x bronze, world cup gold)

Abbos Atoev (2 x world amateur champion, Olympic bronze)

Oleksandr Gvozdyk (Olympic bronze medalist - was robbed of at least a silver)

Elshod Rasulov (world amateur silver and bronze medalist)

Kenny Egan (Olympic silver medalist, 2 x European bronze)

Ismail Syllakh (world amateur silver, European silver)

Tervel Pulev - (Olympic bronze medalist, 3 x European silver)

I think he beat Mchunu on the outscored rule.

He beat Kovalev twice of course, too.

he must have been winning by 20 or 30 points is it?

tbh i doubt anyone would be able to take that amount of punches with no headgear and soft gloves against Beterbeiv

Thanks. Where are you getting your info from? I get most of mine from the Strefa amateur boxing site. Do you know any other good sites for amateur boxing results, amateur records etc?
