Rubber match wasn't really necessary, Lewis was clearly superior as Rahman was very lucky to face the worst ever version of Lewis first time around.

The way Rahman tried to get out of the contractually agreed rematch and fight Brian Nielsen for less than a third of what he would have made in a Lewis rematch clearly shows Rahman didn't fancy his chances against a prepared Lewis.

He gave up on the Tyson fight and said during the build up to Johnson he wanted one more super fight, either Vits or Roy before retiring. Johnson got hurt and his superfight with Vittles happened. Lewis diced his face up and stopped him after a slow start and being in the worst shape of his career. He than rode off into the sunset having beaten every man he ever fought as a pro. We know Vits cant say that, dont we?

What if Lewis fought Byrd, Ruiz, and Roy?

If he hadn't retired, Vitali would have knocked him out him in the rematch.

He fought a PRIME VItali, in short notice, not in 100% condition...beat him
Who cares if has been KO'd? He fought them back and won convincingly.

He did not DUCK anyone, FOUGHT the BEST in their PRIMES.

He owned TYSON, HOLYFIELD, TUA and VITALI = enough said

Hard to say, in the later rounds particularly the 6th he was basically walking right through Vitali's shots and they said as much during the fight.

He'd be accused of beating up two guys who werent true heavies and a bum. Than he'd be accused of ducking Vits. No matter what is ever said, Klit fans will always be bitter that an old out of shape Lewis beat up a prime Vittles.

He wouldn't get much, if any credit for beating those three.

Right because we were so eager to embrace the Klitschko's . Everybody wanted to see a rematch except for Lennox, his mum and the people of engleland. Fact!

He did take a lot of damage though. You see that is a myth created by mostly ******s who know nothing about the sport.

Lewis took an immense amount of damage against Mason,Mercer, and Bruno. He also took heavy heavy shots from a variety of opponents like Tucker,Vitali etc etc. He beat them all. His chin only let him down once. Against Rahman. Mccall is debatable.

Also didn't Rahman knock out Prime Corrie Sanders? Shot Corrie Sanders destroyed Wladimir........

And the other two facts was the choice to continue to fight was Lewis' not anyone elses, and another fact is he had already beaten Vitali once, perhaps he felt no need to have to do it again. True champions find a way to win when it matters most, Vitali failed this basic test.

Lewi's jab in that fight was about as power as any I've ever seen, as you said, it literally was stopping Vitali in his tracks.

Lennox Lewis was a pompous ass. That's why he got KO'd by Rahman and then he said before that he was A level and everyone else was below. He surely got more than he bargained for and walked away so he could keep his overblown self-assessment intact.
