What we are talking about is this fight... He can turn to superman right after. Anything can happen, but we are talking about now... ;)

I'd laugh if they robbed Pacquiao in this fight. I wouldn't be surprised either. lol

    The long answer is no.

One decent win against an opponent without a truly outstanding win himself at at lower weight.

No. Algieri is smart, tall, and has good technique; but he's playing tag in there not boxing. The man has absolutely no power. I looked up his boxrec record while watching the Provodnikov fight and the only guys he's knocked out have terrible records. As much as I think Provo is overhyped I scored it for him by two points.

Arum needs to go out of house for Pacquiao's opponents to get him someone good, or maybe let Pacquiao drop down to 140 and fight Danny Garcia and Terence Crawford.

If Mayweather won't fight him, and he's already fought Marquez and Bradley multiple times, that leaves Maidana, Guerrero, Brook, Porter, Alexander, and Thurman in the top ten at welterweight. I think those are all Showtime fighters though whereas he's got a contract with HBO.

    No he wont.

If he wins comfortably it will be "it was a cherry pick". But this will be coming from the same people saying Maidana wasn't a cherry pick.

If the fight is as close as Mayweather VS Maidana 1, i can assure you, the "fans" wont be claiming "he let the fight play out that way. He did it for the fans. Manny chose to make the fight interesting"

If Pacquiao performs badly, it will be because he has faded and is a C+ fighter at best.

Obviously, this is according to the typical casuals. The ESB boxing professionals that have never stepped foot inside a boxing ring.

brooks not signed to showtime I don't think, he's with matchroom with Uk, toprank and matchroom presumably worked together for the Ricky Burns / Crawford fight. Think brook should be shouting Pac out, he's may get a shot if the toprank / showtime stuff can't be sorted out, brings chance to unify the belts for PAC too

No credit, none! But then again the fight was made before the "cold war" ended, his only option was his teammate, Provodnikov and he lost. Just hope after this we can see Pac fight Garcia, Thurman, Maidana, Matthysse, Porter, Alexander, Brook or anyone that is not named Bradley or Marquez.

A win is a win. It doesn't elevate his status. It doesn't hurt it. It's just a middle of the road type of win. He better not look anything less than impressive though.

But your idol should for scraping past a B level fighter in Maidana? who has losses to lesser opponents?

    Thought so.

Again, keep up the good work. Your agenda is more prominent than ever.

He will get credit/or lose credibility based on his performance. It doesn't really have much to do with Algeri. Pac is auditioning for a Mayweather fight, no matter who his opponent is.

No, this is just a little bit better than the Rios fight.
