So you're saying jabs count more than power punches?

I'm sure you'd say the same thing if it were Floyd in the discussion, nonetheless Herrera outlanded Garcia by 17 in total punches landed. Floyd only outlanded Maidana by 9 in the first fight yet you all claim it was an overwhelming win for Mayweather.:think:think:think

17 punches equates to an average of 1.4 more punches a round. Danny landed the more significant shots, if you think Herrera beat Garcia, you definitely think that Lara beat Canelo, am I right?

How am I biased hypocrite? Since when did Danny have ties with team ellerbe? Danny landed the more significant punches, and Herrera out landed Danny by 1 punch a round which were probably all jabs.

I don't know but it sure as hell seems like there is some kind of love affair Floyd fans have with Danny:huh

Like I said before, I score fights by facts, Danny landed the more significant punches, and all Herrera did was jab. Not only can you not take a champions belt by just jabbing, but you can't win any fight like that if you get outlanded by that many power punches. Anyways I'm just curious, who did you have winning Lara, or Canelo?

I scored it the other way I thought Herrera just outworked him and watch it close Herrera slipped a lot of Danny's power punches like your hero usually does.

Canelo by 1 round, it was a close fight and I don't see how anyone could score it overwhelmingly for Lara.

The champion will always get the benefit of the doubt, if the fight is close and the champion is landed all the power punches, while the challenger is only landing jabs.

Also, speaking of watching something closely watch the Lara/Canelo bout again and you'll see that Canelo was landing on the hips and elbows a lot.

They were both close fights, and the fans of each guy will see what they want to see.
For the record I'm a long time Herrera fan, not a Johnny Come Lately like a lot of his new supporters, and I knew he'd be a horrible style match up for Danny, so I'm extra biased for Mauricio.

Exactly, I find it baffling that so many people think that this fight was a stone cold robbery. The only reasoning I can think of is that the Mexicans generally hate Danny because of his father's comments about Mexicans and welfare checks, and we all know that the #1 population of boxing fans are Mexicans.

I'm just a regular White Guy so I have no idea:yep But I don't think Mexicans claim Herrera he's Spanish White guy, or Molina for that matter.
Some of its Matthysse fans like me, and some of it is Khan fans of which I'm not. Some of it could be the Mexico PR thing, or maybe they just think Danny is a douchebag, I don't mind Danny I just think Herrera won.
