Neither did Wlad at this stage. Wlad didn't have the kind of power of Wilder and learned to box after teaming with Steward. He got knocked out several times if you remember prior to him learning to box and use his height.

He'd have answered his critics and gained a lot of respect (certainly from me). Fans love a KO artist, so it'd be good to entice in more casual viewers too.

However, until someone takes Wlad and defends 4-5 times then I don't think it's fair to say a new era pertaining to one individual has really begun.

    he probebly will

his already bribed and corrupted his to getting Wilder to number 6 in the ring rankings, im sure he wants to milk wilder for a bit more before he gets slaughtered

how come wilder hasnt even beaten a top 50 opponent with out someone taken a dive and is 6th in the ring rankings while Beterbeiv destroys and breaks the ring number 7 in just about a round and doesn't even break the top ten?:lol:

I'm not sure what £$£s anyones going to get from wilder not taking the shot though, if he connects with one of his wild punches he may win the fight, if its close there's always a chance of a rematch.

The hightlights I've seen of him have been at empty (ish) stadiums way down on the undercards etc, its not like he's generating loads of money which will disappear as soon as he loses. If he does win and with a belt he'd be a lot more marketable imo.

much, much higher chance that Stiverne is pulled out by Don King.

With Don King involved in negotiations, I expect this fight to happen....late next year

I can think of one instance where Haymon has done that.

I can think of a dozen situations where King has stalled so long that a fight just fell apart though.

Too many greasy fingers in the pie on this one.. I'm extremely doubtful it comes to fruition.

he won't directly pull Stiverne out like STB said, but King has done plenty of things in the past to make sure he has maintains complete control over a title. Look at what he did with Ruiz and the WBA title playing keep away from the Klitshkos

Matter a fact you should watch Don King's documentary on youtube.

It seems like Don King is the one stalling here.
