All the best to Ricky but hard to see him back at world level and domestically the scene is pretty poor right now so not sure what big fights are out there for him.

The fight was an absolute stinker and 1/3 of the crowd left at the end of round 8.

    Zero entertainment in that fight.

He did have great power when he was world champion, but my main point was he had a different style at British level were he boxed heads of opponents. He wasn't as strong there. You originally said he used his strength to beat opponents, but would you not agree at British level he breezed through them with boxing skills

No I wouldn't Scott's strength was his strength, sometimes Scott would be out boxed by his opponent, polo, Brodie and medina but his strength got him through usally

I have to agree with Billy there, Scott always used his strength. He also used his footwork to make better boxers have to work so hard he could tire them out and bash them up!

I agree with that, but that was at world level at British level he had a different style, it was boxing skills all day that won those fights. Don't get me wrong he still had a great boxing brain at world level, and your right his footwork put opponents in places they never wanted to go and his strength punished them

your also forgetting Scott's weakness was a fast mover like polo and medina both of whom he struggled with
That's why I know Ricky would win if the two ever meet has Ricky would be stronger than Scott something he's not used too and far too quick to the punch

Have to disagree with you the fight wasn't a stinker anyone who knew both guys going into the fight could have told you that it wasn't going to be a demolition job by any guy it was always going to go the full 12 rounds which isn't some peoples cup of tea some people just go for ko's.

From a fan's perspective it was a real stinker to watch compared to the fights against Martinez and Mitchell.

I think that is a bit unkind. You have admitted Scott had the runs the day of first Mendina fight, and in second fight Scott hammered him silly (Scott totally outclassed him in that fight). In Polo fight It was a bad night and was a pick um fight, and I think Scott was not at his best in his last few fights of his world reign because of his lifestyle. If Scott was on it like he was v Chacon, McCullough, Mendina 2 he would have destroyed Polo, so he could deal with all styles

Has I said in the press conference afterwards you can only do things if your opponent allows you and in this case he never because Crawford was class

so tell me when Scott showed power punching in his world title fights rather than correct punching with a high punch rate?
