Yet you fought 6 times more at LHW? Makes you one pretty thick **** doesn't it?

I can't believe we will have to put up with week after week of his tedious bull****.

Doesn't make sense that he should say that as his "excuse" for the loss to Clev, when you rightly say he fought another 6 times at the weight.

That said, he does look MUCH healthier & more powerful at Cruiser... always felt he looked very gaunt.

Will be surprised if he can hold it together for the next 7/8 weeks without flying off the handle...

I really hope Cleverly wins, not a fan of either though.

    I know that!!

But he 'looks' more powerful at CW than he did in his last few fights at LHW.

You get fighters who move up in weight, they don't seem as heavy handed as they haven't carried the power with them. Bellew's gone up and he's banging.

true. if your fat at lhw and even fatter at cw, with a pidgeon chest, you will be found out soon enough.

Fat at 175? Just because he didn't have a muscular physique and ripped (not everyone's Tim Bradley), doesn't mean he was fat.... many people used to bang on about how gaunt he looked when making 175... his eyes were nearly popping out his head!

Exactly 25 pound in weight... so if like Bellew's said before he's cutting 3 stone when beginning camp (so more that the LHW to CW limit for a start) then that is going to zap your power... for someone nicknamed the Bomber, in his last good few fights at LHW he hardly looked worthy of the nickname!

He's since gone up.. been putting his opponents on there arse & then away for good.

Listen, I'm not one for defending Bellew. I'm a fan of Clev, so hoping he's the man who gets the job done (which like I said before, I think he will), but for me & I'm not the only one, Bellew did look gaunt when making 175.

But as Solaris rightly put it.. he says he was killing himself to make 175, yet fought at LHW for another 6 fights, it does beg the question!

i dont like the huge hype surrounding this one. there maybe be more talented fighters at 175lbs but the tougher stronger men belong at cw, i cant see either of these two lasting any time before they get ko'd brutally.

Can't see either of them stepping in with Afolabi.

in fairness to bellew he was moving towards a title shot in those 6 fights at LHW, which he eventually got against Stevenson. Will have a bet on cleverly on points for this one assuming the odds are half decent.

He thought fighting a division below was an advantage. It took him a few fights and a stoppage to realise that he needed to stop starving himself.

You don't think he could have got to a title shot in 6 fights at CW?

Would have taken less due to the lack of depth in the division.

I see what your saying.. but he lost to Cleverly in late 2011, if it was an absolute nightmare for him to make LHW and as he says "killing him" to do so, why not move up, he'd have been more comfortable and then had 2 years (in respect to the fact that he lost to Stevenson in late 2013) to settle into CW & make a title run there?
