that is the lie the shills and the competing promoters who are looking bad because of this want you to believe. the truth of the matter is the network puts up an amount of money for a particular fight....and haymon is taking less of a percentage than the typical promoters who's only source of income is boxing. al haymon is financial successful outside of boxing and isn't looking to eat off of his fighters. this gives him a clear advantage over typical blood sucking promoters.

there are plenty of regional promoters who will benefit from this.

their "inflated paydays" come as a result of him taking a smaller percentage than the blood sucking promoters.

his post is a load of bollocks, do you really think showtime would be paying Danny Garcia that much money on a fight by fight bases to fight the likes of Rob Salka?:lol:

he seems to think that Haymon is a genius and that everyone else involved eg tv executives, all other promoters are ******s

managers take between 10-30 percent of there fighters purse also mate so Haymon could well be taken a huge cut

you do know that the paydays quoted for all fighters are all before anyone eg promotors, cutmen, managers, advisors have taken there cut right?

Haymon has been great at getting certain fighter very high paydays for fighting bums but showtime seem to have given him the boot now so that all could end

What? Are you now saying that disclosed purses are amounts left AFTER promoters take their cut?

News to me. Sounds pretty ******ed.

If anything, Haymon takes a larger cut than other promoters for the simple reason that he gets his fighters more money up front. Yeah.

that's what most sporting events on tv are...time buys. the fact that he's the one buying...and without a major sponsor on board, says he's taking all the risk. bold move to say the least. he'll recoup through sponsorship.

oh its very ******ed but the man can't argue about any matter without showing extreme bias

he probebly thinks Haymon making Quillen turn down a career high payday was a master stroke
