How good would it be for a young kid to learn from JC. Obviously disregarding his slaps.

calzaghe fought a host of bums during his career. objectively speaking it's impressive that he won fights against bernard hopkins and mikkel kessler, but other than that he fought euro level guys, washed up greats and fighters who weren't that good.

What a fantastic thread, showing how a legend who gave so much, is still giving and even years after retiring showing the same cat like reflexes that made him so successful and showing that he could come straight back and clear up again, but also showing class by letting this, what seems current weak era find its own way without him.
True class act who beat most of the SMW whos who ie Brewer, Eubank, Reid, Woodhall, Lacy, Veit, Jones, Mitchell, Bika, Kessler who all were or became SMW world champs and top 10 rated, not to forget the other top 10 rated SMWs.
People dont know SMW before Lacy and dont realise it is weaker now than before and rate fighters today who wouldnt have cracked the top 10 a few years ago

We beg to differ then I guess Just beat me though how you claim a guy that cannot throw a legitimate scoring punch won that fight.

I wouldn't let my kids go to that gym with him. The way he smiled when he tried to assault Hopkins shows he had done it many times before. His a sicko

Always great to see boxers, whether we like them or not, giving back to the community.

ROFLMAO What good did Calzaghe do for the sport of Boxing?? What good had Mayweather done???? No one outside the sport knows them.
Now Muhammad Ali EVERYONE knows him he revitalized the sport
Mike Tyson Everyone knows him . WHY????
Because they had charisma . It was reported that a little boy was watching when Ali was introduced to the Pope. He innocently asked a cop "Who is that man up there with Ali, the one with the funny hat" ?? lol

Watch the fight again without the rose coloured glasses that DELIBERATE slap from Slappy was right on the money. Bernard is a man he has a set it hurts to be hit there. Calzaghe wouldn't know that with his lack of testes lol I only remember one guy being put on his ass too Furey LOL Even Shot to **** Jones jr put him on his ass too ROFL

Probably would have given Hopkins a rematch if Hopkins hadn't acted like such a racist and then like a ***** inside the ring. I'm just saying.
