    Hopkins and Holyfield are Hybrids not outboxers and Trinidad was a slugger not a boxer-puncher

    Hybrid means that they are overall well rounded and fight with equal competence at close range, mid range and long range. That basically sums up Holyfield and Hopkins.

    Trinidad was just a pure slugger because he mainly just lead with power punches to win fights and didn't try to box. Like a typical slugger when he fought good boxers like Dela Hoya, Reid, Hopkins, Wright etc he had trouble.

    Is that a joke? Floyd can't fight on the inside at all. When a guy gets close he just clinches.

    Hagler wasn't a swarmer he was a hybrid fighter.

    Redundant semantics, they both mean the same thing in this context. I prefer to use the term hybrid.
