Everyone likes to throw those words out there but what does it really mean to you?

1- someone that doesnt stand a chance of winning? Thats what i get from most people but what if your that good? SO do you really think Tyson cherry picked a bunch of fighters?? I SAY NO!! Nobody was just gonna beat him, thats what it is. not a cherry pick

2 - someone that shouldnt get the fight at all? people use this alot. its hard to argue if someone shouldnt get a fight.

3- Defending your title mutiple times against ranked fighters in your weight class IS NOT CHERRY PICKING! You have to defend your title if u want to keep it. are they all gonna be great fighters...NO! but if u have to do what u do.

In my eyes I dont like the words at all and I dont know WTF it means! I mean what i can say was a cherry pick is Pac fighting Rios. a man coming off a loss and never fought at the weight class. Now Pac coming of KO Loss so we all knew he was gonna take a easier fight but i just dont like using the words cherry pick. how Pac picked somebody easy to fight. Cherry Pick is some dumb ass words

Explain what u think it means. use expamples if u want

Cherry picking is choosing the easiest bum yo ucan when you got better more exicting matches.

Klitschko can figh wilder or tyson fury right now but he fights bums like leapai and wach. he is the definition of cherry picking.

Floys is somewhat of a cherry picker but not nearly as big as wlad. he can fight pacman or khan or ggg right now but fights dudes like canelo and madaina.

Ali never cherry picked tyson never cherry picked. They fought who was thrown at them and beat the best they could and lost when they coulcnt do it. thats what a trrue champ is

Picking someone who doesn't deserve to fight you, usually because he has a style (or lack of ability) that will make you look good.

When it's a stay-busy fight, I don't have an issue with it but when it's in place of facing a genuine challenge, it warrants criticism.

    Gotta disagree with you.

If Wald was to fight Wilder ppl would even call that a cherry pick

GGG is a middle weight, right there just shows u dumb as hell

Tough to say. Case by case basis.

The level of the A-lister or champion plays a large role in assessing the warrant of his challenger.

Wladimir facing Pianeta... that is a "cherry pick" I think we can all agree on.

Thanks. It's one of those terms that gets thrown around far too often; people have called Mayweather and Pacquiao cherry-pickers, which is just absurd.

Toney and Chavez used to take stay-busy fights against scrubs but it never interfered with them taking on the top challengers. When guys only fight 2 or 3 times a year and one of them is against the likes of Salika? That's different.
