Far more talented than ricky burns, burns has no power no speed, doesnt use his range. kevin mitchell is a far crisper puncher, talented, with better boxing skills and far more compact defence. anyone seeing burns over each with his right hand looks like an amateur, and his shoddy jab looks sluggish and slow. :rofl

yeh as if i didnt know that, he was a drunk cocaine head with no ambition when burns beat him. but really mitchell would beat burns now at lw.

 

In terms of skills, and being nice on the eye with those skills, Kev is streets ahead of him.

Ricky hasn't even got the basics down, IMO. Very stiff, poor movement, lack of head movement, zero pop, clumsy footwork, doesn't set up the shots well...

Great engine and heart, but thats about it.

already mentioned mitchell was a drugged up punch bag then, nowadays and before the drugs, mitchell was always the better fighter. remember mitchell could be in for a title shot very soon at lightweight then he would be taking over where burns left.
