Did ok but looked as if he was toiling with ring rust , if he pressed he coulda stopped the boy imo , needs to be more active at 30 as 2/3 outings a year wont cut it as hes running outa time

Not sure about Simmons to be honest, very good amatuer pedigree & seems to be going the right way, however at his stage in his career id like to see a little more urgency.

Maybe now that burns isn't headlining in Scotland we will see Simmo travel a little as he can't sell tickets by the looks of things.

Good time to be a British cruiser weight tho, actually any time seems to be a good time at CW

The last one was majorly beefed up with wadi camacho - name me another CW that would grab the attention like that fight did..?

Be realistic here billy, he isn't going to be selling out anywhere at the top of the bill is he.

Maybe I'm wrong then, your in a better position to comment than me.
Though when I've been on a few shows up there quite most of the casuals don't know who he is, suppose that's casuals though.

Regarding his ability & potential , I'd be surprised to see any major changes in him as I say he's no spring chicken & has been boxing a good many years - needs to be more active if he's to make a stamp on the euro / world scene ( I know he's a WBC flip flop belt)

Agree, he sells 800-1000 tickets per fight, lets me honest it would be good for him and say Brophys careers if they had more fights, as two very good prospects. They could sell out Kelvin Hall between them, wish someone would get them to headline a few such non televised Bills as well as ones on tv, as 2000 at Kelvin Hall would cover there wages and of a few other Scottish fighters on it too.

    whats stephen simmons level?

could he face bellew or cleverly in the future, seeing as they arent not world class fighters despite what some say european/fringe world level. or fight ovil mckenzie and the bellew left overs?

against camacho he looked a bit shoddy and basic, also a bit slow and awkward.

against graf he looked solid and boxed well.

maybe if scottish promoters and managers worked together more ten fighters like simmons, brophy, michael roberts etc would get more fights.

I would like to see more of him. Does a lot very well and is very heavy handed.

He tried for obvious reasons to force it a bit too much in the camacho fight but alround he looks decent.

Theres a lot that can be improved with his feet and movement etc but a lot that is already very good.

Hope he gets on some more big shows.
