I have tyson at about 12-14. #6 in my opinion is a ranking far higher than he merits but whatever floats your boat.
kid? i am 82 and i don't think you are over 13. when i simply ask for your top 10 list you feel the need to insult, you did this to foremanjab also.
I might have been a little hard on Evander above, but Tyson's wins wins are over better opponents overall, they are for the most part, unavenged, and they are far more decisive. p4p, you would definitely have a case for Holy, but I have him just outside of top 10 as a Heavy weight, while I have Tyson 7-9. So, Tyson.
Yes, peak value & decisive wins are 1st amongst equals for me. Tyson also did not seem to lack fortitude in his prime, though his later career mitigates his greatness. I do not see how you do NOT penalize Evander for PED usage. If a guy did things to increase his success that are cheating, it should mean something. Ethically AND where he was likely to rank with fair competition. His CW years can get much credit-at that weight. Tyson 7-8 seems fair, Evander 13ish at best, since he do not know how good he would be clean I think the "awlays had his number" meme is overused. Sometimes applies, but for example Norton would not be able to counter-punch a speedy peak Ali so easily, Frazier would not land so effectively...And Tyson with greater movement & combinations likely would take Holyfield out, even with the clinching.
Holyfield has not failed a post fight drug test, Tyson has. Tyson also admitted to using an elaborate method to pass drug tests using a fake rubber ***** and a bag of someone else's urine. Does Tyson get minus points for this?
