Difference was, Ortiz was coming off the best run/win of his career, over Berto an undefeated champ.

Maidana, was coming off the best run/win of his career with a victory over Adrien Broner, the undefeated champion.

Khan has done **** all since losing to Garcia and Peterson.

Berto and Broner were undeated and in their primes and champions

Collazo was semi retired and had only beat Ortiz who was himself semi retired and making movies.

Not to mention Collazo already had 4-5 losses

Broner and Berto, better wins than anything Khan has done in recent years.

Khan is a threat due to his style as a lot of experts agree , he has an ok overall resume and not great current form. One thing is though that people thought maidana was a cherry pick to, and to be honest he's not fighting to two fighters directly below him in the division in PAC and Bradley so everyone can be viewed as a cherry pick based on ranking unless he fights someone higher up. Averagely fast stand in front boxers are what May eats up and it will be interesting to see him fight an in and out guy even if his style is changin with hunter

Does he deserve a shot based on his last run of fights? No. Is he someone who could potentially cause Mayweather issues? Yes, I think so

Maidanas run was ok , the fighters he beat we're not of high quality , broner may well not be a top 15 welterweight . not to discredit MAidana , or flouyds picking of opponents but it was quite a soft run. It was better than what khan did at welterweight but it did not really show how good maidana was in regards to the top welterweight fighters

Yea I thought he'd cruise passed Maidana. That just goes to show people don't always know who a cherry pick is, including me. And I see what you're saying about Pac and Bradley, but I believe the reason they have not fought is because they are Top Rank. But that's Floyd's fault.

A draw with Peterson and a win over Berto is better than anything Khans done in recent years.
