Khan should be making his case by doing something noteworthy like beating Bradley, Alexander, Thurman, Brook, or Porter. The problem is all these are tough fights for Khan that he stands a good chance of losing. So, he's been avoiding these types of fights, saving himself for a Mayweather fight. I hope he actually follows through with the Guerrero fight.

At least with Ortiz and Guerrero, they had a spectacular showing against a top 10 WW. Those were actually Berto's auditions to get a Mayweather fight. And in both cases, the show was stolen. In the case of Maidana, he was having a pretty good run at WW, under Garcia. But, what topped it off was a dominant performance against the so called heir apparent, Broner. Maidana was expected to lose this fight. Khan needs to make a statement like this.

Khan is fast and has a good jab. But, he doesn't have the ring IQ to be as big a threat as he and a growing minority thinks he is. If he can be timed and caught clean by slower guys like Garcia, Diaz, Maidana, and Prescott, Floyd is going to have a field day. Khan can't fight inside either. That was glaring in the Peterson fight. But, now he likes to clinch to avoid getting hit. The problem is he makes it obvious he is trying to clinch, his arms are down, and his chin is exposed...more opportunities for a sharpshooter.

Khan is a threat on paper, doesn't mean he's gonna win though. I think he has a mental breakdown if they fight and winds up gassed and hanging on for dear life at the end, with Floyds safety first style preventing a late round ko. First few rounds would be fun to watch though.

so basically, you're able to provide me with 4 people who believe Khan may beat Floyd?

out of the hundreds of writers, experts, journalists, trainers etc?

which pretty much proves my point, the large majority of knowlgdable boxing people know Khan has no chance.

i guess his affinity with Mayweathers number one rival, or the fact that he was Khans former trainer has nothing to do with it?

While I don't think Khan is a legitimate threat to Floyd, it would be something different to watch and entertaining, while it lasted. There's financial sense in the match too.

I don't much care about the ducking/cherry-picking argument; legitimate threats to Floyd are limited in number and probably involve moving up to 160, at this point.

abner mares and jesse vargas think his style also pose mayweather problems, i mean what more do you want me to do, name off some shitty jounralists like fat dan rafael who dont have a notion. theres plenty of them and when lampley talked about it he said plenty of insiders and boxing people belive khan is a threat or something along those lines, ive heard it often like. Did roach say maidana would beat him? did roach say gurrero would beat him?

also you critized me for mentioning lampley but then said out of all the journalists, and roach and khan fell out they arnt on great terms
