ESPN2 Wednesday Night Fights: Sam Soliman vs. Jermain Taylor RBR

    Despite having reservations about whether this fight should be licensed or not, I actually think Jermain Taylor will win this and do it fairly easily too even though it's a faded version of him.

    Soliman just isn't that good, sure he beat Sturm but Felix is one of the most inconsistent boxers in the sport.

    We have to remember that Taylor has only been beat by top class opposition in Pavlik twice, Froch and Abraham. He was seconds away from beating both Pavlik and Froch and against Abraham he was winning after 6rds but then gassed the last half of the fight.

    His win against Caleb Truax shows Taylor can still beat decent oppositon and i expect him to just be a level above Soliman in this fight.

    My Prediction:

    TAYLOR to WIN by UD(116-112) or even A TKO somewhere around the 8th round.

    Taylor takes this, Soliman doesn't have the power to worsen his brain damage by that much. Taylor was able to take Truax's power which is equal to if not better than Sam's, although if I remember correctly I think Truax dropped him, but it didn't seem to affect him that much.
