It was you who responded to me mate. It was your facetious response about people caring more about Jones opinion than mine, when in fact Jones opinion wasn't the one being purported by the original person I was discussing it with. As usual though you've butted in and have subsequently gone on to say you don't hold that opinion yourself. Which begs the question, why were you quoting me in the first place if you didn't even know what was being discussed?

you said that the 'potentially brain damages jones' and i just pointed out that the mans insight is far more respected than yours.

also just beacuse i qouted you does not mean i share the exact opinion of someone who you were arguing with, for some reason you just acted like we shared the exact same opinions and said the same things instead of reading what i said yourself

Well thanks for that Captain Obvious, but as it turns out Jones didn't hold that view, your little buddy FightTime made it up completely. Also the brain damage comment is probably true, I really wish he'd hang them up as his opinions seem to get more outlandish all the time. You're right that his opinion is more valued than mine, but that goes for every single poster on this board does it not?

Also that brings in the rest of the boxing world, are the opinions of the respected trainers, fighters and other industy men who don't give Khan a cat in hells chance of winning less respected than Jones as well?

It was a throwaway comment that you've misconstrued, let me clear it up for you. If 99% of people don't give Khan a chance, but 1% (Jones and Khans own management team) do then how is that opinion more valid, just because it came from RJJ?

Also I didn't state that my opinion was more valid at any point, just that this was the only opinion your mate could find that validated his own opinion, and it turned out to be false anyway.

And you attempted to belittle my opinion without holding any kind of actual discussion yourself, essentially you had no reason to quote me, and no argument to make, other than the exeedingly obvious point that a multiple world champions opinion on boxing is more valid than mine. (and by proxy yours and everyone elses

**** sake man you need to re read the whole thread, as i just, just said, i orignally brought up that roy jones felt khan could pose mayweather problems due to his style, my comment was in repsonse to someone who said youd have to be insane to give him any chance at all, i listed some people who think khan has a good style or could pose a threat or whatever. you descridted the opinion of roy jones , calling him potentially brain damaged, i pointed out that his opinions are held in better regard to yours. Im not saying he has to be right or a trainer etc is always right, but i dont completely descredit them like you did, he showed no signs of anything wrong with him when he said that comment.

who are the 99 per cent? obviusoly this is an ridiculous exaggeration but name a few who categorically state khan has no chance.

most on here feel he is a threat as the poll shows.

and the next bit i want to say is that very very few back against mayweather or bring up others fighters that pose a good threat but khan has been mentioned often enough especially for someone not on a good run. Most acknowlegde that its an interesting style for mayweather to deal with

So to clarify, none of the experts that think he would 'pose a threat' have actually picked Khan to win, is that right?

Not much of a threat at all.

Khan has long been overrated by many because of his speed. Even at 37-38, Floyd's skills and ring IQ are light years ahead of Khan.

Floyd gets minimal credit if and when he takes apart Khan.

Wow, he beat Amir Friggin Khan.

Khan has one of the worst glass jaws in the history of the sport

He is scared to go near Garcia again, he won't beat Floyd.

if Floyd signs to fight Khan, does Khan automatically become a 'cherry pick'?

the best way to 'punish' Khan is by not giving him his payday. In a fight I can't see him punish Khan anymore but rather win a close decision.
