Nobody despises Tyson more than I do, but quite frankly some of the opinions here are laughable. Even the Tyson that lost to Douglas couldn't lose to Rocky, because he wouldn't be getting picked apart from the outside. All he would be facing was a smaller, weaker, less sophisticated version of himself. A brutal stoppage, very early for Tyson.

Don't pack it in yet Burt. I for one would probably follow if you did. None of us on this forum have the right to call another a racist just because he likes a certain fighter regardless of the fighter's ethnic background. "racist" is a word that gets thrown around way too much today without substantial proof...as it does in society in general, especially by the younger crowd it seems. At any rate as far as this matcup goes, I just can't envision Marciano winning this....and I am a big Marciano fan and a fan of the old boxers of yesteryear. Tyson would be too big, too powerful and most impotantly too fast for Rocky to overcome. We all know that styles make fights and Tyson would be all wrong for Marciano. If Mike was a slow fighter or at the very least not as fast as he was then Rocky would have a chance but that's not the case here. As much as I hate to go against one of my all time favorite fighters, I say Tyson early by KO.

 

Unfortunately Jim you are in a very small minority as far as old time boxers fans are concerned. The majority even refuse to adjust those rose tinted spectacles, never mind remove them. As I stated in my post I despise everything about Tyson, and I can either take or leave Marciano, but from what I've seen of both, and for reasons either the same or very similar to yours I see an early victory for the loathsome Brooklynite.
