Look how big Pride was in Japan. It was on mainstream TV there. Obliterating attendance and TV numbers in the US.

Notice a trend jackass? Brock Lesnar never meant **** in Asia. Pride had a giant fan base and Fedor was the biggest star.
Also look up Mark Hunt and Arlovski. They're doing pretty good in the UFC and Fedor crushed them both.

Brock is famous because of WWE. Those fans followed him to UFC. Fedor built his entire legacy fighting real fights. Not kissing guys and acting gay like Brock.

MMA was basically an underground sport when Fedor dominated, once it became mainstream the athletes got much better.... Fighters like Cain and JDS would be too much for a little fat fellow like Fedor

Who cares about Japanese attendances it's all about how many people watch on TV now.... Besides the UFC sells out stadiums in Canada, Australia, Brazil within minutes of going on sale.

He was a good fighter no doubt but it was a sport that wasn't mainstream...... MMA participation rates have increased 10 fold since he dominated Pride which was half full of freak shows.

the Yakuza ran PRIDE and paid the fighters way better than they get paid now in the UFC. Japan had a huge anti Yakuza push so Pride lost it's huge TV deal. Pride aired on Free to air Television is Japan to MASSIVE audiences. That is why the made so much off sponsorships. Once they lost their TV deal they had to sell. Pride did not go bankrupt, Zuffa paid over 70 million for it.

UFc just now got onto free to air in America and the ratings are declining into the shitter. Something that never happened in Asia before the TV deal was pulled.

I also love your argument "Who cares about attendance?" then in the same post you bring up UFC's attendance around the world. So which is it? Does it matter or not? Or it only matters when you talk about UFC but if you're talking about PRIDE it doesn't matter.
