I believe Foreman priced himself out of a fight with Bowe but I'm not sure. And Tyson, "I'll fight Ruddock or that other guy...what's his name Foreman before he dies of rigormortis...".

I dont think for one second Tyson was ever afraid of Foreman.

Foremans whole second career was smoke and mirrors and excellent promotion, calling out Tyson and then refusing to sign is icing on the cake. But people fell for it

What happened to IronChamp? Dude used to shut shop down regarding Foremans most infamous catfish call. Lefthook was stellar as well. And Prime was one of the greats.

    Lets put it this way.

I cant say that Tyson was not afraid of the older Foreman, but if he was than he was seriously misguided.

Foreman winning the title back at the age that he did, was one of the greatest accomplishments in boxing history.

If we disregard his age, and look at what he was head to head, then he was one of the weakest champions ever to hold the lineal title, and very lucky to do so.

It's just good for both Tyson and Bowe that they never fought the young George Foreman.

Tyson being his usual hostile self when being asked questions he doesn't like to hear, saying that doesn't mean jack ****. Men were there when Tyson freaked out at Don King when he asked him about fighting Foreman, why would they make it up???

Foreman wanted the fight because he knew he'd bulldoze Tyson and get him out of there in devastating fashion, his style was all wrong for Tyson and Mike knew it.

    :yep

But by the same token, Foreman is lucky he didn't face Holmes in the late 70s

It is good for them that they never fought the older Foreman, because they might have killed him!

this video of bowe was a joke and it shows the infantile kid that you are, poor boy.. and you found 4 words of tyson answering foreman and then you pick it like the supreme words.. when foreman called tyson out tons of times even in places where this topic has nothing to do with

haha janitor in the past you were a decent poster now you are a bad joke.. it must be the age.. bowe and tyson killing a younf foreman.. what a joke.
you changed your comment i see haha, you did not have even the balls to keep up it. foreman in 90-91 would have beaten 90-91 tyson and probably he would have lost a peak bowe by decision.. saying that they would have killed him when evander could not do it.. it is just a joke... foreman in 90-91 was better than ruddock.. he would have knocked ruddock out... prime vs prime foreman beats the crap of bowe, who was easy to hit like hell and it against foreman was the ultimate mistake

    :patsch

Tyson himself admits on video he'll fight Foreman, but youd rather believe some guy who 'claimed' he heard Tyson say he didnt want to fight Foreman

Foreman: Ill knock Mike Tyson out in two round
Tyson: Ill fight this Foreman guy before he dies of old age
King: Puts both on the same card to promote a future clash

Foreman: I didnt sign because i was more scared of King than Tyson. Tyson/Foreman would be the greatest event in boxing history, but if King is involved im gone, im out of there.

Yeah, Tyson was the one that was scared :patsch

Yes because shouting the loudest means you definitely want the fight (but then come out with excuses as to why you didnt sign the contract).

As for Bowe, yes he may have been joking, but the interview before that with Lampley/Foreman, when Lampley asked Foreman about fighting Bowe, Foreman came out the Mayweather type dialogue 'Yes, the IB/WBA tell me what to do and who to fight'. In other words, i have no intention of getting my ass kicked by Riddick Bowe

Just like James Toney constantly called out the Klitsckos and claimed they were ducking him.

Foreman was all smoke/mirrors in his second career.

And Tysons 4 words sound more honest than Foremans.

the team of foreman wanted holmes in 1976, and the team of larry said that holmes was too green for foreman at that time and wanted no part of him, holmes was a complete nobody before of foreman retired the first time
