I dont think it matters much anymore whether the fight happes or not. Mayweather's legacy has allready taken a major hit for letting KTFO6 happen before he got his hands on Pacquiao.

Mayweather's ppv numbers are dropping and showtime knows that.
No official numbers was even released for Mayweather-Maidana 2 fight. Also now people know that All Access is edited and scripted. Executive Producer Mayweather TMT!

 

So even the 3 biggest *****'s of all time, Leonard Ellerbe, Stephen A. Smith and Floyd Mayweather Sr. has asked for the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight and Mayweather had terrible things to say to all of them.

Floyd is also completely mad about Oscar putting on the Canelo-Cotto fight at Cinco de Mayo.

This is how it's going to be:
1. Oscar De La Hoya loves the idea of making Mayweather have low PPV numbers and will go ahead with Canelo-Cotto if the hype and effective demand looks good. If not then Mayweather may win himself the May date against a fighter.

2. Mayweather will take a year off and fight in September especially because of the lack of opponents and Canelo-Cotto in May.
Mayweather will NOT be fighting Amir Khan in September.

The only way for Mayweather to salvage his May date is if Danny Garcia moves up to fight Amir Khan in December/January, and winner fights Mayweather.

I agree with u on this. Sure he's a bit scared to get in there. But his ego is what's keeping him out of the ring from potentially losing.

 

I think if they don't fight and after Mayweather retires "undefeated" one of them or both will destroy every last ***** on the Earth by merely stating what we already know about him due to no fear of being "fired"
