    Does it really matter?

Mayweather's last undercard was warmed over refried **** and the PPV still did well...

I agree Cotto-Canelo is a huge fight and he should sit idle unless he's fighting Pac on that date. There's no one else out there that will do better numbers against Cotto-Canelo maybe if Broner was still undefeated it would but the two would never fight anyway.

ppl keep saying Al Haymon this and that. hes a MANAGER not a promoter. you ever heard a fight say Al Haymon promotions??? NOPE!!

Come on man, ppl need to get it. yes fighters are signed with Al Haymon but guess what? oscar still got them and promote there fights. Guess who did Broners last fight?? isnt he signed with Haymon?? guess who did Garcia-Salika?? now you get it!

Al Haymon cant put a card together at all, otherwise he would've for Mayweather-maidana 2 but Oscar put the card together again. Mayweather recently said Ellebre is gone. WHO THE HELL IS GONNA PUT HIS SO CALLED CARD TOGETHER!! Then you want to go against Cotto-Canelo?? HAHAHA :lol:

Not considering that they have to pay Floyd a guaranteed $32mil. Its being reported that the actual ppv buy rate was 772k buys. The networks take half of the ppv revenue. You do the math.

I think you are ignoring the obvious. Shady or not, Al Haymon is the most powerful man in boxing right now. Didn't he just stick it to the WBO and have his fighter tell them what they can do with their middleweight title? This is the same fighter who fights for GBP. So who has the more clout, Oscar or Haymon? Oscar needs Haymon, not the other way around. This is why, after years of HATING each other, Ole' Fishnets found religion and ran back to Uncle Bob. Haymon doesn't need GBP to promote his fighters who are promotional free agents. Any promoter can do that. Ever heard of a guy named Adonis Stevenson? He's an Al Haymon fighter who *isn't* promoted by GBP...

    I did.

If Mayweather's last PPV did 772k buys - that is more than what Cotto and Canelo did in their last PPV appearances *combined*.

All I'm gonna say it just looks bad on Mayweather, the current face of boxing, that others fighters, like Cotto, Marquez, etc etc can make a fight with Pacman and he can't? Of course he can. Some of these demands he makes are just ridiculous. And as every year passes that he is becoming more beatable their only going to get worse.

I remember fans saying that it would easily do over 1 million views but only made like 500k on HBO. Can this fight make more than 500k:think

I like Chavez and Martinez far more than I do Canelo and Cotto, that being said Cotto Canelo would be far bigger.
