I feel the same, Joshua around the 5th, doubt Price's endurance and stamina has improved much. Would be interesting until then though.
People were booing because Price's name was mentioned; they were all AJ fans so their way of showing who they think will win. Nothing to do with not wanting the fight. I was disappointed to see Eddie took it the same way in the IFL interview afterwards.
I think it's a 50/50 fight, this time 2 years ago Price was getting the exact same kind of praise and hype that is being heaped onto Joshua now, time has shown us that Price has chin/stamina issues, but he is taller and has a reach advantage over Joshua and has the equalizer in that huge right hand that (unless AJ has an absolutely granite chin) will knock Joshua out if it lands flush.
It was about the same.. Price the failed indestructible Olympian. And Joshua the flawed gold medalist. On Boxrec they raved about Price.
Joshua looks a more complete boxer than Price in my opinion. I would have to favour AJ but Price is a very hard puncher. Good test for him late next year, but cant see it being made before that.
I watched Price's 2 fights v Thompson again last night just so I didn't fall for the Price hype again. Tbf, his KD of Thompson in round 2 of the second fight was a beauty and something you could see the likes of Joshua walking onto. I think Price struggles against slick counterpunchers where he has to set the pace as he has no idea how to. I'd still fancy Joshua as long as he has a real testing fight before Price which will teach him not to drop his left hand as much.
It really wasn't. Brit media spin saying it was an equilibrium shattering shot. It looked like a benign grazing shot around the back of the ear. One of the weirdest KO shots of recent history- and say's a lot about Price's chin.
If price trains right and pushes himself further than he has ever been, he could win this. Would still bet the house on a joshua early stoppage though
Your talking about the shot that put Price under. I'm talking about the shot he put Thompson down with.
Cant see Price causing Josha too much! Joshua is showing he really wants to hurt opponents, Price would be stopped in the corner with his hands up and struggling to stand up.
