Prime for prime Tyson takes it 10 times out of 10. Styles make fights and Tysons style matches perfectly against Wlads. Bob ' weave, slip the jab and devastation from either hand. Tyson punches through the target while Wlad puches at the target. Tyson may have fought a lot of soft touches early / mid career but he did what he should have done to them...ko 1 for most. Wlad while dominating his inferior foes took much longer on average. I can't see Wlad not getting hit hard the entire fight and when he does he goes down, but Tysons chin is the better of the 2 by far and he would be able to make a couple of mistakes and Wlads style / nature wouldn't allow him to put all the mustard needed on his shot to ko Tyson with one punch. Tyson is overrated and underrated at the same time it seems but when he was in his prime he was a dangerous man.

Yes lets leave Puritty out of it. Instead lets talk about Brewster who had previously lost to both Shufford and Ettiene....an Ettiene Tyson in fact destroyed. Lets talk about Sanders who never before or after beat a top 10 rated heavyweight and lost to Nate Tubbs. Come on, lets talk about that

I'm glad someone has highlighted this awful blog. :good

It claims to provide an objective view on Heavyweight Boxing. From what I have seen, however, it takes a far from objective viewpoint. Rather, most of its content is laced with cynical bias, some of it quite disturbing but, nonetheless, delivered with an irritating ****sureness.

Being that it is essentially a Klitschko fan site, run by someone under the username of Suva Mywo (apparently from Kiribati[???]), the agenda of the blog is fairly obvious. It seemingly places all its focus on diminishing Heavyweights of the past, in favour of the Klitschkos.

A number of the posts involve the use of basic stats, combined with the blogger's own brand of definitions and thresholds. Given the basic set of numbers in play, the figures and calculations actually end up being a little convoluted, as the blogger sets up one table after another of comparisons.

I have not been all that bothered to critique the blogger's analyses. But, I'm not sure anyone actually needs to (even though the blogger welcomes any "stat-based rebuttals to [his or her] conclusions.")

It's a fine example of how numbers can be misused to draw superficially compelling conclusions, which are in fact total rubbish. However, statistics can have a strong influence on the weak-minded.

wlad has no movement, footwork or chin for that matter, what he does have is height, weight and reach advantage a devastating clinch and a great jab which would be null and void thanks to tysons bob and weave style, phenomenal head movement, speed, ability to cut off the ring and get inside.

i'm talking about a pre buster douglas, cus d'amato trained tyson, post d'amato tyson was a shadow of his former self. even after not training hard partying cavorting with floozies tyson should have won the buster douglas fight by ko considering the long count, now imagine if a hard training beast tyson was in there? fast forward 12 years later even a total bum tyson almost kos lewis in the 2nd round, now imagine if the beast hard training tyson was in there against lewis?

so the best version of wlad, a steward trained, clinching, jabbing, defense minded wlad vs a cus d'amato trained bobbing and weaving, combination throwing ko artist tyson and tyson wins 8 times out of 10 before the opening bell. wlad would be shitting his pants before the bell even rings and as soon as tyson touches wlads jaw it would be the beginning of the end.

now a post cus d'amato tyson vs a steward trained wlad loses 7 times out of 10. would be an ugly foul ridden, frustrating fight for tyson, similar to the holyfield fights.

a post cus d'amato tyson vs a pre steward wlad would be a tyson victory as well.

bottom line a cus d'amato trained tyson vs a steward trained wlad = tyson wins 8 times out of 10. wlad would have to fight the perfect fight and not get penalized for the excessive clinching, on the other hand all tyson would have to do would be land on that weak chin of wlad and it would be a very short night for wlad.

Lets see....of course that fight had much to do with it. But there is also a noticeable difference in his superior skills in comparison and trainer who have talked about Busters high level of skills. If if you cant see the difference in skills you simply dont know this sport.
