Floyds tune up was Pac's destroyer....a guy Floyd toyed with was a guy Pac had to fight 4 times to prove he could win (without the use of Arum).....and for all of what Floyd did to toy with JMM.....was used to make Pac 2012 KO victim of the year......

Juse has always had an issue with the 2012 KO of the year being marked 2012 when the fight happened in December.... all of the fun from Pac being turned into a human surf board happened in 2013......

The thread title made me chuckle...

Pac has had a great career. Being critical of this fight is not questioning what he has done in the past. But being so great, I don't think fans are wrong for wanting him to fight and beat an actual top 10 WELTERWEIGHT, not a top 10 JWW or LW, for what would be just the second time since the Mosley fight. That is a 3.5 year span and only 1 top 10 WW defeated (Bradley II is the only one, as Bradley was unranked at WW entering the first fight, as was Marquez for Marquez III).

Algieri is not deserving of facing one of the best fighters in the sport. Sorry. I thought he beat Provodnikov, but the fact that over half of people thought he lost goes to show that those folks are hypocrites if they support this fight. Even to those of us who thought Algieri won, beating a fresh titlist in a close battle at JWW in your first ever fight against a ranked opponent with no fringe-contenders on the resume as supporting victories either is not a good look for Pacquiao. Fight him at 140 to at least make it look like you tried to get a worthy fight. It would become notably more meaningful as well, as technically Pac has yet to win a sanctioned world title at 140 (lineal is more important, absolutely, but technically not a world title... IBO doesn't count either and those are what he got from beating Hatton).

 

Pac is sorry and has been doing this for years. what a waste of talent his last years of his career! anything beyond 2010 has been a joke. fake title with a cheater in Margarito, Clottey after he ducked Floyd. KO so nasty by JMM and got lucky in 3rd fight that he shouldnt have won. both bradley fights were wack. Rios a cupcake now Algeri whos a decent boxer but never fought at the weight and has no power.

 

Yet fighting. Maidana twice is considered better
