most forget how badly he hurt pacquiao

manny in his prime had an p4p atg chin
as proven against margarito and cotto
    serious bangers

floyds face looked like maxi pad after the cotto fight and to be honest that was probably the worst version of cotto ive seen

  2. Cotto against Pacquiao was one of the worst Cotto's I've ever seen.

Cotto looked to be at his best against Mayweather

I agree. Cottoe was technically an undefeated fighter when Money utterly embrrased/destroyed him.

  6. Now, I'm a dumbass because I have my own opinion?

You're ignorant of actual boxing knowledge and don't deserve to be on any legit boxing forums.

That was just after his split with his Trainer/Uncle and Santiago was making his dayview as Cotto's trainer.

They focussed on the weight loss rather than any real strategy!!!

    Complete embarrassment!!!

Cotto just looked good against Mayweather due to the stylistic match up but he was on the decline big time by time they fought and also didn't have the right trainer for his style.

Cotto beats Mayweather at 160 or 154 if they fought today.

I agree though, Cotto was pretty drained against Pac but he looked good in the early rounds.

Cotto has power but what always surprised me about him was his timing. The only time I ever saw Clottey hit the canvas was against Cotto, and that was from a jab. He knocked him down with a jab.

Not to discredit Cotto, but Mayorga wasn't the same beast Forrest, Spinks, Tito, Mosley, or even Oscar faced. Mayorgas alot older now, it's normal older fighters have much less punch resistance.

No he didn't. Marg wasn't even close to going down once.

I remember when they interviewed Mayorga and asked him what surprised him about Cotto, and Mayorga said Cotto's punching power. Meanwhile I still had visions of Margarito walking through Cotto leather in two fights. This While also experiencing Cotto knock down Clottey and another fighter with just a jab?

I think lack of a ****ing decent trainer and dumb ass moves add to that no one in the corner, that would explain a lot. Still Cotto could have been so much more......

Perhaps it's inconsistent because he's Puerto Rican and so isn't always brave enough to 100% commit to the punch
