he was on the move for most of the fight with margarito so he really didn't sit on his punches the way he normally does. even still....margarito's head looked like it was going to fly off a few times in the 1st and 2nd fights. that's just b.s. machismo and mexican pride from margarito.

roach has him sitting on the back foot more so he's really cranking the shots especially the hook to the body.

I recall that and I was in utter shock...you can tell that jab hit the button on Josh's chin shook him down to his shoes...of course he wasnt hurt just simply put on his ass with a strong six inch blow on the button.

Clottey was off balance and tripped over Cotto's foot if I remember it correctly. lol at Cotto legitimately knocking Clottey down with a jab.

Mayorga was just trying to show respect to Cotto .

Im pretty sure he doesn't really believe he hits harder than Forrest or Tito .

Maybe so. I will check it when I get home but I definitely remember it as being a knockdown in which Clottey wasn't the slightest bit hurt but I haven't viewed it since the fight so maybe I am wrong.

By the way, i dont think Cotto had a real trainer for the Pac fight, which i always thought it was stupid.

cotto has pretty good power at good weights when he is healthy and hydrated.

the shot he hit mayorga with in the 12th round was probably the deadliest shot he had ever landed. mayorga was going one way and cottos left hook was coming the other way. mayorga never saw it or expected it. he was hit so hard and cleanly he didn't know if he was concussed or has a broken arm.. lol

his chin was ruined long before the cotto fight tho

If you make that ridiculous noise Bruce made while punching it adds a bit more power to his massive six inches ....wiiichaaaaawwww!

The punch that gets you knocked out is the punch you don't see. He might have saw Cotto's punches coming at him which helped absorb better but I believe Cotto hurt him a few times he just don't want to admit it

Classic Boxer hit it on the nail with the different types of punching power. Cotto seems to be heavy handed, but he doesn't have a lot of snap or pop in his punches like some other fighters do. In fact, since he joined Roach his punches seem to have a little more pop, reminiscent of his younger days when he was coming up. He looks overall sharper.

I stand corrected. Cotto did legitimately put Clottey down with a jab.
