I care because I think boxing is an amazing sport and I want it to be more popular. Floyd isn't doing wonders for boxing in America and the boxing public outside the US is pretty indifferent to Floyd.

The way boxing gets bigger is if there is an exciting fighter representing it and Floyd isn't exactly the most exciting fighter around.

Plus casuals don't watch Mayweather because they think hes the best. They don't know that much about boxing and they watch Mayweather because hes marketed well but at the end of the day he doesn't deliver the type of fights that casuals want to see. This leaves many people sour and they start saying **** like boxing is boring.

 

Floyd is screwed. Either way he loses and the truth that it wasn't scripted will come out. Then what will NSAC do? Do they have any ethics?

dude, i'm sorry, but i don't understand what you're saying...you want boxing to be more popular...ok, but how is that floyd's responsibility? floyd's responsibility is to beat the guys they put in front of him...that's it!

There is NOTHING stoppiing ANY other fighter from coming along and becoming more popular than floyd. there's THOUSANDS of fighters in the wolrd, about 50 world champs of some sort....but you want to blame FLOYD for boxing's lack of popularity? HE's JUST ONE DUDE... I know that doesn't even make sense to you.

If fans go to watch his fights because he markets himself well. that's a GOOD thing for him...but part of that marketing is that with the exception of pacman, floyd has DOMINATED all the top fighters in 5 weight classes over 17 years and is undefeated in 46 fights. this is why the casuals know him to be the best fighter in the world. nobody is stopping other guys from marketing themselves better...unless they themselves were a floyd vicim (whiich is most of the top fighters in the world.)

You're right. Its not his responsibly and the reason he can be marketed well is because of his accomplishments. But what I said is still true and even if it isn't his fault I can still be biased against him for the aforementioned reasons.

And they'll also tell you the difference is VADA, as apposed to USADA, reports to the commision. What's funny is there is no athletic commission in Macao (ask Dana White/UFC and the whole Cung Le fiasco) where that's the only place Pac has supposedly taken VADA tests.
