Seeing how Salido overwhelmed Loma with non stop pressure but average power, I see Walters who doesn't stop punching and has tremendous power would give Loma beating and stop him...
Salido didn't overwhelm ****. Lomo lost 3-4 rounds simply by being inactive in an attempt to preserve energy in his first 12 round fight. When he let his hands go, he slapped Salido around the ring. Lomo outboxes Walters.
I think Loma is the real deal but when you have a kid like Walters who is hungry as hell and can fight the way he does, he’s a serious threat to march forward against anyone. I mean, he just beat up Nonito Donaire. I have little doubt that Lomachencko can match him in a ring boxing any day but Walters is clearly a proffessional in style and Lomachencko is on a steep learning curve. Vasyl wouldn’t have much time to adjust if they met soon. And Walters doesn’t let you have much time to breath. He’s active and strategic. He was patient and yet he closed the distance beautifully, taking Nonito’s measure and testing his power. He almost paid dearly…but he didn’t. He adjusted and beat the Flash in about the most convincing fashion possible. If I were Arum, I would give Lomachecko to Walters right away, before Loma gets even a smidgen more acclimated to the professional ranks. Walters IMO is the easier fighter to promote and he’s set to go. Lomachencko’s being Russian is not an asset promptionally, not here in the US at least. I’d hate to pick against Loma but right now, Walters is on a roll
lmao. Lomo couldn't even beat Salido - a journeyman- let alone outclass him. Walters sends Lomo back to the amateurs
Lomachenko is still ad******g to the pro game. In the russell fight he would take a whole round off and not throw a punch and just concentrate on making russell miss, in the pro game he would just throw away rounds like that. He also fights in spurts, often the last 30 seconds of a round, he will continue to lose rounds and close fights like he did against salido if he continues to do so. I only saw walters yesterday but what i saw is a very good fighter, good solid jab which cut up donaire and snapped his head back. He throws every punch in the book correctly with a loy of power, his uppercut on the inside was impressive. One area of concern is when coming out of a clinch he would stay upright and donaire was able to get to him whenever that happened. I think it would be a great fight and just hope that it gets made and it doesn't end up like how juanma vs gamboa did.
