Quit why? Sergio is old so you can make a case. Donaire is in his physical prime and can probably win titles up to 140. Why would Donaire quit after being knocked out when Mosley, DLH, Pacquiao, Ali, Leonard, didn't quit? He could probably win in a rematch against Walters. Walters didn't seem to bring anything special or completely dominate him like Rigondeux did. Walters just won a really close toss up fight.

Pacquiao was able to knock out bigger guys which is why they had to box with him. Donaire needs to move up in weight and improve his strength, power, and stamina. He's never going to be able to outbox Rigondeux but maybe he doesn't have to. Rigondeux cannot carry power up to higher weights and trying to outbox guys like that might not work. A guy like Walters I think Donaire could have outboxed but it ended up in a slugfest. If he was going to be a slugfest he would have been better off training for power. The one area Donaire needs improvement is his defense which seems to be getting sloppy in recent fights. If he improves his defense and most importantly his head movement I don't think many people will be able to beat him.

Odd comment considering that Donaire avoided all of the best opposition at 118 and 122 until he fought Rigondeaux. He fought 3 midgets at 118, instead of Mares, Agbeko, Perez, Darchinyan and Agbeko. He then was humorously awarded fighter of the year for fighting four lackluster opponents at 122. He cherry picked every bit as much as Martinez.
