    So he's a joke unless he fights p4p #1 or p4p #2 or a 175lb boxing legend? I'll be the first to say GGG hasn't had a real test yet and that I look forward to a real test, and I grow restless waiting on a test and with seeing GGG slaughter guys, but to say he's a joke short of defeating (or maybe just fighting) your three is the joke.


    1) Canelo weighs in the low 170s in fights, the same as GGG. Sounds like a fair fight to me.

    2) Cotto is the man at MW. He's fair game and should put up or shut up and go back to LMW.

    3) Chavez is nothing more than a smart career move to gain stardom, but an in-shape, prepared Chavez would be a good fight to watch vs. GGG.

    In short, you sound like a hater setting ridiculous bars for a fighter you dislike.

    Exactly. If Stevens was a bit stronger he would've knocked the whiteboy out and the GGG hypetrain would've came to a screeching halt. Triple Duck has been matched very softly.

    One alt picks for GGG and talks about how crappy the opponent is, the other picks against GGG and tries to sell that GGG's so overrated, even the "crappy" opponent, who is (sadly) the best he's faced so far, will win.

    Troll logic dictates there's no losing that war on two fronts :stir

    my point is, ggg is a good fighter...he will probably beat cotto AND canelo. but SO FAR HE AINT DONE **** and people are acting like he's this great fighter, comparing him to RJJ and hagler. that's where a lotta fans have a problem with him, because there are guys out there who are FAR MORE deserving of the hype who don't get it...that's turns people off. why does he have to be so over-hyped? why not just let the hype happen naturally commensurate with his accomplishments?... soon people will be tuning in, not to see him win, but to see him lose. unless he has a canelo-like fanbase that wants to protect him as much as possible, he'll get thrown in there with guys like ward and jacobs who can hurt him or andrade and lara who could beat him...and put an end to his star appeal.
