Lets assume the above were going against the following over a 4 yr period and in this order:-

    Tunney
    Louis
    Patterson
    Liston
    Ali
    Foreman
    Holmes
    Tyson

Assume a 6 month window between fights and 15 rounds.

I have added a poll but have no idea who would come out on top?

    between rocky n frazier.

reasoning - demps looks the least skilled on video, and looked worst against worst opposition.

frazier looks more skiiled than Marciano, weighed against him having lesser longevity and some losses.

Hard to say because Dempsey early on fought some big guys, boxers and sluggers and fared well until Tunney but JD was rusty and still dropped Gene for the long count. Would have liked to see him against Wills and Greb

Marciano fought very good boxers and punchers in Walcott,Charles,Moore and Layne (highly touted and 34-1-1) LaStarza (53-3 and beat everyone who beat him except Marciano)

Frazier had the shortest prime and career but had that FOTC win against Ali and wins over Quarry,Bonavena,Ellis and had the loss to Foreman when he was past his best, also his style could not adapt and he lacked 2 KO hands

so while Frazier would be competitive against Dempsey and Marciano he may have less of a chance vs the Big bombers like Foreman while Dempsey may be troubled by the boxers Walcott,Ali,Tunney

Marciano fought the best of his era but the best guys at the top were in the 6ft range and while he did beat big men in his career the top guys were not the biggest so he may have trouble with the long reach guys that had some speed like Vlad, Lewis and Vitali but on the other side none of those guys fought a pressure guy that could punch and had stamina like Marciano

I would have to say too hard to say based on the current champ Vlad and some of the top guys of the decades these guys fought in. 6 of one half a dozen of another

I would have to say Dempsey overall.

He would have done worse than the other two against the boxers, but he would have doe a hell of a lot better against the big hitters on that list.

Interesting that you say that. Marciano was never stopped. Frazier went down against Bonavena, Foreman, Mike Bruce, and was wobbled by Ali and Manuel Ramos. Dempsey was down against Jim Flynn, Firpo, Tunney, and wobbled by Sharkey and Carpentier (maybe). I don't see much to separate them, chin wise.

Answering the question literally, it's not really fair to Joe Frazier; he's the one who most visibly declined during his career and it's pretty obvious that he's going to be in Manilla mode after Liston and Ali. But with the others, there's no way to know. Marciano might get his face torn apart or his heart broken by Louis and just flat out never be the same. It's certainly hard to believe, as a swarmer, he doesn't denegerate behind some of the serious beatings these guys are going to put on him, win or lose.

Dempsey declined dramatically with inactivity but probably has the best credentials for living a tough schedule without gross affect, but who knows? A war with Ali followed by a war with Liston might do for him too.

Absolutely no way to know, and there's basically no answer to this question, although I think we can rule out Frazier based upon what really happened. I think he's the best HW, but he's not coming out of that in anything but a hellish mess and he would probably be propped up remnants by the time Foreman splatted him.

Given that Dempsey looks harder to hit than Marciano I suppose I'll go with Dempsey. But no way to know.

I am not saying this based on a belief that he had a better chin than the other two. I am saying it based on my opinion that he had a better style for dealing with fighters of that type.

Dempsey, Louis, Marciano and Joe Frazier are my favorite heavyweights of all.
I pick Dempsey as the best of the three in his prime. Today on ESB Dempsey by some posters is rated just a tad over Butterbean in ability and it saddens me greatly. Years ago by boxing experts who saw Dempsey at his best prior to his 3 year layoff, Jack was
overwhelmingly picked as the greatest heavyweight ever, and I have he and my favorite
heavyweight Joe Louis as the top 2 H2H...Yes he would have be too fast a hitter for Marciano and anyone Dempsey hurt he would ko. Rocky was a hard puncher who I saw ringside, but truly missed half his punches, but won his bouts because of attrition punching ,but much as I loved Marciano, Dempsey was as tough, punched harder with both hands and would have prevailed over Marciano. And one other thing Dempsey never cut on his face. He was a tough hombre as was Rocky. Joe Frazier was a great big edition of Henry Armstrong and would have given anyone hell, but Dempsey had a much better right hand than Joe, so I would give Jack the better shot over Frazier, who gave me
a great thrill seeing him beat Ali in the FOTC at MSG...Joe was a decent and brave MAN.
Addendum : And yes I know Dempsey never fought ny favorite fighter MW Harry Greb
and never fought Harry Wills, THOUGH they signed once to fight...But we are talking about H2H on this thread only, and to claim that Jack Dempsey feared them physically
is farthest from the truth...Dempsey, Marciano and Frazier were rough and tough customers in the ring and did what their braintrust told them to...ciao...

Frazier has the single best win out of all three of them.

It's a tossup between Dempsey and Frazier for me. I'll say Frazier because I see him doing the best against the challengers in the OP.

Tunney- frazier wins hands down(joe was made in order to beat this type of cute boxers), tunney always outbox dempsey and 50/50/ vs marciano, rocky could land a lucky suzie q late being down in the cards.
Louis- Louis knocks dempsey out, and he would have a good chance to stop marciano also because rocky would come direct to him, i think that frazier was clearly bigger than marciano, faster, stronger, naturally in shape 20 pounds heavier than marciano, with a great move of head , great puching power and a solid chin, he was very movile, he would work the body , making pressure much better than marciano and working faster, (Louis was down in much more fights tan frazier was, so i would doubt more about the chin of louis), it is a 50/50 but i think that frazier in his peak would stop Louis, he was a more modern fighter, stronger, very aggressive , louis never had to face anything like that in his career.
Patterson, i think that peak vs peak marciano and frazier would stop him, and he would have a chance to make dempsey look stupid and jurassic, finally maybe dempsey would catch him.
Liston, dempsey and frazier would do much better against liston tan marciano would, rocky was slow like hell.
Ali, ali would beat 3 men but frazier would be always the best opponent out of the 3.(i am waiting for 4 clowns saying ali said that marciano blablablá )
Foreman, George would kill these 3 men in the same night
Holmes, Larry would beat dempsey easily, he would lose vs frazier and marciano by decisión or maybe even late stoppage
Tyson, i think that peak vs peak Mike would stop these 3 men
