His power PALES in comparison to that of George Foreman - and we all saw what Ali did to him.

Punching Power means less than squat *if you can't find the target*. You circle this guy and stick a jab in his face and his offense goes to ****.

I'm so sorry you have to endure an era of successful "non-black" fighters, my heart bleeds for you. It really does.

Maybe you should just try a new sport to make up for your insecurities.

Another one like Cereal Lobotomy, MVC, and MarQ. They think being slick and black is somehow the defining style. It's not. Golovkin will run over a bunch of those guys including Ward

We aren't talking about Big George or any other Heavyweight for that matter.....Golovkin is a Middleweight which makes the talk about his power being on Par with a Heavyweight that much more intriguing.

GGG with over 340 AM fights has seen all styles and I think circling and just sticking a jab in his face sounds easier than it actually is. Especially since GGG seems to have very solid, yet subtle boxing skills. He hasn't lost many rounds as a pro and he's been in with some good boxers.

He is potentially the best at the weight and he does possess one of the four titles.

However, his title was upgraded from "interim WBA" to full "WBA title" after beating the legendarily shitty Milton Nunez, of all folks...

...so yes, he is a paper titlist by the definition of most on here who make a big deal of that.

He has given legitimacy to end being a "paper titlist," though, through fighting several fringe or former contenders and essentially warranting it with the two good wins he has over Geale and Macklin (since both of them would have been acceptable opponents to vie for a vacant title).

    GGG's not "the" 160 champ.

But he is now the mandatory to the guy who is. It's in his best interest to keep going down that road to either get a shot vs Cotto or force him to vacate. The WBC realizes they're in a strong position here and will want to keep Cotto, Alvarez, and GGG fighting for their title(s). It's more likely that GGG is in line for step-aside money to wait than it is they strip Cotto.
