Carl Martin Froch is a 6'1 37 year old Super Middleweight with a 33-2 24 KO's record. Born to a Polish German Father and English Mother in the legendary City of Nottingham. Carl is the living breathing personification of everything I love about this sport, he's a rugged, tough as nails, resilient, tenacious, working class, Old Fashioned Throwback, if you can imagine the most perfect example of what a boxer should look like, it would be Carl Froch his face looks as if it was carved from slab of granite with a shiny piece of iron for a chin, there is nothing else he could have ever been but a boxer he was born to compete in this sport. He is a Barbarian through and through, he would have fit right in and possibly been the King of the Saxons during the early Middle Ages if he had lived in that era.
The Sweet Science is great if your into that type of thing, but if your love of Boxing stems from a more primal animalistic place, hidden somewhere deep inside your Primordial Lizard Brain, your Id if you want to be fancy and Freudian, then Froch is your guy, no matter how many shots he takes it only fuels his rage, brings alive the venomous Cobra within, launching himself into Beast Mode to viciously maul his opponent into a sad pathetic heap lying in the middle of the ring. That is a thing of beauty.

His resume even while still fighting is already the stuff of Legend, not many can come close to his list of accomplishments, not even Ward.

While fighting pure boxers his obvious limitations are shown but usually somehow, someway through sheer force of will he finds a way to overcome, its his Warrior Spirit that pulls him through. After being dropped savagely by the young lion Groves he walked through a hail of hellacious flush shots like a man possessed, almost any other person would have succumbed to such a beating, but as always Carl found a way to win, sadly the ref stole his moment of triumph by stopping the match too early, but he put an emphatic exclamation mark on it the next time by brutally knocking Groves the F out.

So step forward bend the knee and pay tribute and honor The Man, The Myth, and the Future Legend that is Carl "The Cobra" Froch. Future ATG, Future Hall of Famer. England's Finest.

Put yourself in his position, he's had a long glorious career, he's getting old and wants to hang it up, he wants a big payday, he's a shitload of punishment more than most boxers, I think he could beat GGG, but is it worth the amount of damage he would take to accomplish that. Give him a break.
