They actually came out yesterday and said they want to make the Quigg fight asap, but unfortunately have to deal with mandatory opponent Chris Avalos first. But are hoping they could maybe do 30,000 outdoors in Belfast, perhaps at Windsor or Ravenhill for a Quigg fight.

Once Avalos's team confirmed he wasn't going ahead with the Rigondeaux fight, it was obvious he would have to be next for Frampton. Regardless with the way Sky acted at Quigg's last fight, and the way both camps have been talking, both men are likely to meet in the new year should they not lose their next fights (or couple of fights). So we can put everything to bed then.

On paper he looks a good opponent, and actually an excellent opponent on 4 weeks notice. But I've watched a couple of videos of him there (only short ones tbh) and I'm not too impressed. He might prove to be durable, but he's a step back from the likes of Jamoye, Munyai and Salinas anyway and tbh he looks more around the level Jamie Arthur was imo.

He fights in a tight shell, trying to give opponents little target and comes back at them inbetween their punches with straight shots, and varies his attack well between body and head.
He's smart, but he's limited, and if I'm honest I think Quigg will find it way too easy to crack him with hard, hard bodyshots and we'll see another ko rd 2/3.

Hearn is involved with Avalos and from what I understand there is easily a chance that they could pay him step-aside money if they were serious in getting the Quigg fight.

    Won't happen of course.

They probably could alright, but Hearn could as easily sort that. Afterall it's become evident that both camps want the fight now, it's mainly a question of where and when, so we can throw all accusations of ducking out the window, and work from the premise that it'll happen when both Hearn & McGuigan believe it'll make most sense(money).

Frampton has been away fighting on Box Nation for some time, which you've been hugely critical of. Surely from a business standpoint you'd agree it would make far more sense to let Frampton headline on Sky vs Avalos first,to try and really sell this fight (because let's be honest it'll likely be ppv). Perhaps even do a double header with Quigg fighting an opponent on the same bill, although that could be very difficult to organise.

Now, what do you make of Otake in those couple of videos ?

I see they have put George Groves on the same card, maybe he will fight someone decent.

Don't count on it. He's just another name to help sell it. The fight will be a tune up.

Let you know later as I'm still in the office.

As for the rest of your post, why would they let Frampton headline when Quigg is the Sky and Matchroom fighter? Be serious.

Why not fight Kid Galahad? Oh wait, Eddie Hearn and Joe Gallagher deep down know Quigg would get beat by Frampton, Galahad, Rigo, Santa Cruz so they carry on putting him in with shite opponents.

I don't mind Quigg and I'm sure he would step in with Galahad if it was up to him but he as an idiot of a trainer who cares about padded records and a promoter who is scared to lose a paper champ. ****ing pathetic!

Galahad doesn't deserve a title shot. His best win is Jazza Dickens.

So why doesn't Hearn set up the fight people are actually interested in? Nobody wants to see Quigg knock out some unknown guy inside five rounds as he's done that plenty of times before since winning a 'world title' I want to see him in with somebody who is going to push him and Galahad clearly has the talent to do so.

Hearn is always talking about wanting to make good fights for British boxing. Galahad fight was there for Quigg to take.

A shot at an "interim belt"?

Quigg certainly does not deserve a shot at a legitimate world title
