I think there may be TWO Cotton-Canelo fights, given it looks like an even matchup.

GGG may be on the sidelines a while.

Cotto seemed to have carried speed and power over to 160. I have no doubt he can be a worthy adversary even for GGG, looking past Cotto can be catastrophic to any fighter. My question is not Cottos skills or what he's capable of, but it's his punch resistance. Yes, he is among the bravest, up there with El Terrible, BUT will he freeze like a deer caught in the headlights? I always said Cotto was underrated boxer and overrated as a puncher, BUT, now with Roach, he took care of that problem! Tho he did crush a shot mw kingpin and a decent contender, which really doesn't help gauge how much he's really improved, you have to give Miguel credit for making those improvements. Yea he lost to Trout, but Cotto is a different beast now that sharpened his claws not just his fangs. In my book, a bodypuncher is gold when moving up in weight, cuz many a time iron chinned fighters fold by brutal shots to the midsection. Also, if Cotto happens to last 12 and its held in NY, you can bet a major upset may take place. No more smoke and mirrors for Cotto, tho, once he steps up to GGG. We'll know for sure if his win over Maravilla was a fluke or not.

cotto is gonna get killed blah blah blah. don't you guys never learn?

    same sh!t as always

morales is gonna get killed by maidana
    hopkins by pavlick
    dirrell by abraham
    rios by pacquiao
    garcia by mathysse
    rigo by nonito. . . .

what a better way to leave on a high note than taking those 2 fights??
win or lose, can't wait to see it and i have no doubt it will be more competitive than anyone thinks

this is why a good manager is necessary in boxing.

that sounds like freddies plan. a good manager would not show his hand so early.

cotto is going to war with canelo. that's going to be a knock down drag out fight. meanwhile they keep feeding ggg a bumb a month...

ggg should have to face a real challenge before he gets the fight with cotto.

a fluke? the guy had two bum knees. cotto did exactly what i expected him to do with the handicapped fighter.

Be serious, a blind Margarito had started getting to Cotto when the ref conveniently stopped the fight in Cotto's favor. The most relieved person in the arena was Cotto himself.

Cotto has it for about 4 or 5 rounds and then he falls apart, both Canelo and Golovkin would commence a beatdown at that point.
Cotto has been done for awhile, believe it.

Unfortunately that's not up to roach. This would be suicide for cotto and I think cotto knows. Doubt it happens.

Being afraid and being aware is 2 different things .

Cotto does not back down from nobody . This is true

I know without a doubt Miguel is not intimidated by Golovkin .

But I know Miguel is also aware that this is a fight that does not favor him at all especially at this late point of his career .

He has a more of a chance against Canelo .

What does he has to lose? he has plenty of money, already acomplished and future hof. Better believe if canelo or cotto wins big in that fight, they will be confident enough to take the ggg challenge
