I personally wouldn't penalize him for avoiding Pac IF he rematches Cotto at 160 for the MW title, assuming he still holds the title(no catch weights and no rehydration clauses). I'd also be ok with him fighting Golovkin at 154, with a rehydration clause....c'mon just face it, the fight isn't happening without some serious weight restrictions.

 

Barrera, Morales, Margarito, and Bradley would all have given Floyd all he could handle, all for different reasons. I think one or two of them would even beat him. I think Morales would do best against Floyd. He's got the same height and reach as Mayweather and is also very fast, so I don't see May being able to hide behind his leaning or shoulder roll tactics like he does with a lot of shorter slower fighters. Barrera would trouble him with his solid fundamentals even more than Cotto. Margarito is taller with longer arms, stronger, and throws a ridiculous number of punches. He wouldn't be troubled by Floyd's leaning and he'd smother Mayweather's already low output with his own. Bradley would puzzle Floyd since Floyd isn't used to fighting a top level defensive fighter, doesn't come forward himself, and so never fully developed an offense to deal with guys like Bradley.

 

Tszyu lost to Hatton around the same time Floyd stepped up to 140 with the money fight against Gatti. Hatton kept winning and Floyd fought the guy that made Tszyu quit.

An undefeated Cotto sat ringside when Floyd demolished Gatti. Arum didn't want to put him in the ring with Floyd at the time.

When it did become time Floyd agreed to fight Margarito, but wanted higher grantees on the extension for Hatton and Cotto. From Bob's own mouth.

Paul Williams was a guy that Floyd probably could have fought, but its questionable when. Paul lost to Quintana 02/2008, Floyd basically said he was leaving for at least a year prior to the Hatton fight. Paul's marketability went way down after that lost. Paul redeemed himself, but that was his last fight at 147. Floyd's next 2 fights were against bigger names when he returned.

Sergio Martinez called out Mayweather and said he would fight him at 154, but two things he had going against him. He was not a big enough star and he had not fought at 154 in a while. Let's be honest if Floyd beat a 154 Martinez many would call him weight drained and play down a potential victory. * Credit to Cotto in going up to "159" and taking the title.

**The real fights I think Floyd missed in which I believe he could have made was Stevie Johnston at 130/135 and Manny at 147.

 

And GGG at 154.....

I haven't watched the video yet but Floyd does seem to like fighting slow guys and Latino's

 

People will consider him not fighting Khan about as much as him not fighting Porter.

Pacquiao will be the fight people will argue about for decades though
